To be angry with my neighbours

So long story short had a bit of a run in with the neighbours a few years back, both me, my DH and the guy next door have moved on from it but his girlfriend hasn't.

The girlfriend will ignore us if walking past and refuses to take any parcels in now (which is fine). She doesn't work so she's always at home while her man works, so normally around lunch time each day she throws out the leftover food from the night before. She throws it out onto the street outside her driveway normally more so over our side every single day.

This evening while I was in the kitchen shes came out of her house and chucked food directly right in front of our car which is parked in our drive way.

I am livid beyond words because its evident that it has been a deliberate stunt and now I'm left with what should I do.

AIBU for not wanting to let it go, being one to many times it's happened.

YANBU I'd really like to pick the food up and dump it all at her door step 🥴

*her OH

diagold4u · 26/02/2021 01:53

Ergh that is disgusting! If she wants to feed the birds, she can dump the food in her own garden!

Inkpaperstars · 26/02/2021 02:33

My friend had a neighbour who used to leave litter and cigarette ends all around the street. One day she just collected it all up and posted it back through his letterbox. Seemed to work.

LunchBoxPolice · 26/02/2021 02:51

Could you shit through their letterbox?

PerveenMistry · 26/02/2021 03:31

This is the most bizarre thread ever.

Can't he eat the leftovers? Pizza every day?? Must cost a fortune.

Is she trying to be kind to wildlife?

The mind reels.

Sapho47 · 26/02/2021 04:38

Surely if someone is dumping food waste and plastic onto a road every day there would be a huge pile after a few weeks

Sapho47 · 26/02/2021 04:42

@Ilovemypantry

Just out of interest, is the food still out there in the morning? Only asking because I feed the foxes at the front of my house (in dog bowls) but perhaps she is throwing the leftovers out for the foxes. My foxes come round at roughly the same time every night, eat their food and go. There is never any food left there the following morning.
It would be very irresponsible to feed foxes pizza tbh nearly everything we eat in the UK from a takeaway has some onion in it so definitely shouldn't be fed to foxes
custardbear · 26/02/2021 04:59

What a nutter! She clearly doesn't have enough to do so is winding you up

Personally I'd video her them sweep it up and put it in her bin, then progress to her door step and letterbox if she continues

Yepeyesaidit · 26/02/2021 05:14

@jakeyboy1

Are they Hansel and Gretel and she's leaving a pizza trail for him to find his way home?

Grim.

This!😂😂😂
Porridgeoat · 26/02/2021 05:38

Please overcook some whole pizzas and hang them in her garden like xmas baubles

Porridgeoat · 26/02/2021 05:41

Or arrange for a pizza delivery with the box solely containing a letter of complaint from the birds and a bag of birdseed

Porridgeoat · 26/02/2021 05:48

Or even better ... thread some fake plastic rats, place them next to the house and then up hide in your car. When she next throws pizza out pull the threaded rats towards you

Clydie89 · 26/02/2021 06:38

If it's in front of your car, just get a cheap dashcam that's activated by movement even when the car is off. It'll capture everything. Don't forget to add a 'smile for the camera sign to go next to it'

scpips · 26/02/2021 07:16

It slightly reminds me of my dear departed but very batty grandmother.
All leftover food went outside "to feed the birds". She put it on an upturned dustbin lid. She didn't just eat pizza though.
One time my Uncle put out some rice "for the birds" but at lunchtime it returned as lunch. Grandma decided it was still ok for humans and recycled it.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 26/02/2021 07:53

Could you shit through their letterbox?

Assuming OP is human - and an ordinary one not blessed with super-rubbery limbs - I'm guessing that the answer is sadly no! Mind, I have on occasion wonder how dogs sometimes manage to deposit their business against a vertical wall.

Thepilotlightsgoneout · 26/02/2021 07:56

Just film her, more than once preferably to show it’s a pattern, and report her to the council.

Magicalsundays · 26/02/2021 07:58

Video it stand outside and video and say nothing to her. Report it to the police and local council. Every single day - do not put it back on her side as I can see her videoing you and blaming you and saying you are doing it.

Don’t say a word - just video and pass it on.

islockdownoveryet · 26/02/2021 08:01

Yes it is quite bizarre and disgusting.
Tbh if she’s throwing it on your drive in front of your car I’d get a brush and sweep it right in front of her door and tell the nutter not to throw waste food near your car again .

soresore · 26/02/2021 08:06

One of the strangest things I've read Confused
Your post should be about how weird that is, not whether to push it back towards her house

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 26/02/2021 08:16

How much is left over each evening? Is he really spending as much on 'feeding' the road as he is on feeding himself? If he really can't fathom the idea of a fridge and microwave to keep it for the next day, surely he must have realised by now how much he can eat and adjust his regular order to that - get a medium instead of an XL or whatever?

Our local fish and chip shop spams us with an email every day, encouraging us to partake, ever since we started ordering online a few months ago. Even they aren't (I presume) expecting us to take them up on it every day.

I must get around to unsubscribing instead of just ignoring the emails - I hate it when companies think it appropriate to bombard you every day (so that everybody just sighs and eventually unsubscribes) instead of maybe once or twice a month, when people might actually read/act on it.

Summersun2020 · 26/02/2021 09:37

I would scrape it up and throw it in her garden. Every single time.
Or, since neighbourly relations are a bit better with her husband, scrape it up and drop it round when he finishes work telling him what his scruffy cow of a wife does every day. And ask him politely to have a word 😊

moanieleminx · 26/02/2021 09:41

I am ShockShockShock

What does your DH think? I would be getting a motion sensor video installed

HappySonHappyMum · 26/02/2021 09:57

Pizza every night? That's a drug drop. Get some cameras installed - the police would love you!

Outbutnotoutout · 26/02/2021 11:01

Hose pipe it all back on to her drive

Disgusting

Snuggz · 26/02/2021 11:28

This thread has me rolling on a Friday morning, so funny!

A Ring doorbell system is definitely the way forward, she won’t even realise she is being recorded. Then post it on Facebook/Reddit/Twitter and watch it go viral. You could even tag the Daily Mail too Grin
