To be angry with my neighbours

So long story short had a bit of a run in with the neighbours a few years back, both me, my DH and the guy next door have moved on from it but his girlfriend hasn't.

The girlfriend will ignore us if walking past and refuses to take any parcels in now (which is fine). She doesn't work so she's always at home while her man works, so normally around lunch time each day she throws out the leftover food from the night before. She throws it out onto the street outside her driveway normally more so over our side every single day.

This evening while I was in the kitchen shes came out of her house and chucked food directly right in front of our car which is parked in our drive way.

I am livid beyond words because its evident that it has been a deliberate stunt and now I'm left with what should I do.

AIBU for not wanting to let it go, being one to many times it's happened.

YANBU I'd really like to pick the food up and dump it all at her door step 🥴

If she’s throwing it onto the public road, can’t she be fined for littering? Need to film it and report to Environmental Health?

If it’s onto your property, probably antisocial behaviour or harassment.

Need to get her other half to get her to stop? Film and show to him?

Icancelledthecheque · 25/02/2021 19:10

She walks past her bins to chuck the food onto the street so clearly no intention of using the bins for the waste.

Why?!?!

I mean... where the hell is the logic in throwing food into the street?!

heidbuttsupper · 25/02/2021 19:11

Does she shout 'gardy loo'as she does it?

littlepattilou · 25/02/2021 19:11

Report her to the council.

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:11

@Bluntness100 sorry I've not explain properly. Her partner eats a takeaway pizza every night for tea, whatever is left from the night before she chucks on to the street at lunch time while he's at work. So it's not even disposed of the night he gets it.

As PP have mentioned, video multiple tones with a date and time stamp then report. Littering is illegal.

Sceptre86 · 25/02/2021 19:12

Record her doing it and name and shame on your local Facebook page. It won't do anything for neighbourly relations but the idiot deserves it. If you can report to the council do do.

Sceptre86 · 25/02/2021 19:12

*do so lol

CypressSwampmaiden · 25/02/2021 19:12

Definitely keep records of it and report it. It's littering!

AtlasPine · 25/02/2021 19:13

Bonkers!

Jobsharenightmare · 25/02/2021 19:13

Oh my word. My previous NDN used to do this. When I challenged her she said she was doing it to feed the birds and she wasn't going to stop. She moved away thankfully but I had already told her if she did it again I would report her which I did, but never heard anything back before she moved.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 25/02/2021 19:14

Keep posting back through her letter box

Jobsharenightmare · 25/02/2021 19:15

Ah just seen the update. In that case I would video her and show it to your neighbour. Tell him you'll report her if she doesn't stop it.

jakeyboy1 · 25/02/2021 19:16

Are they Hansel and Gretel and she's leaving a pizza trail for him to find his way home?

Grim.

Motnight · 25/02/2021 19:18

A pizza every night 🍕

StaciesSpace · 25/02/2021 19:18

I wouldn't move it, I would wait to see if she does it again and snap a video/photos of it and then report her to council/police. Might make her think again once they contact her.

Or throw it back, we all need to distance anyway so not like much of fith can happen 2m apart Grin

Or if you want her to stop without causing hassle, get a fake CCTV (or a real one, but fake ones can be under £5 if budget is tight) and make sure to put it in her view.

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:19

I will be being extra vigilant from now on and hopefully catch her in the act. I do think it's more a case of trying to wind us up which has worked tonight given the fact that it feels like we've turned our back and shes managed to get outside our drive dumped the pizza and vanished before we seen. If I had seen her doing it tonight I would have said something then and there.

Sparklesocks · 25/02/2021 19:19

Is it just pizza she throws or other food too? God it must stink, and could be a hotbed of rats and insects and foxes.

I’d report to the council.

Stoppissingonmyheather · 25/02/2021 19:20

What??? That is totally disgusting I thought dogs were bad enough. Omg here is what you must do... 1)film her several times and keep records 2) phone environmental health 3)get a rat and post it through her letterbox 4)phone rentakil or the equivalent and let them know there is a giant rat infestation at her house and send them round there 5)throw food back in her garden or collect it all pile it up by her front door with a note with mental health service teams contact numbers and some dead rats

Bluntness100 · 25/02/2021 19:20

Honestly that’s so grim, wtf does that,

Honestly I’d not rise to it, not directly, she’s possibly looking for a fight. But I’d video her and report it anonymously, make a new email anonymous address with a fake name and send it to environmental health.

Chloemol · 25/02/2021 19:20

She is flytipping. Report to the council saying it’s every day and what time. Then they can see and fine

CompleteBarstool · 25/02/2021 19:20

Send photos/video evidence to environmental health or the council as she's attracting vermin by littering

StaciesSpace · 25/02/2021 19:21

Or wait until you see her boyfriend get home, catch him when he's alone, and in your best ridiciously nice and polite voice, ask him to get her to stop. So when he goes in to talk to her about it, she's the asshole that put her boyfriend in an embarrasing situation!!

Krispyk · 25/02/2021 19:22

@CavernousScream

She throws waste food out onto the street? Where do you live, the fifteenth century?
Grin Grin Grin
LST · 25/02/2021 19:22
