To be angry with my neighbours

So long story short had a bit of a run in with the neighbours a few years back, both me, my DH and the guy next door have moved on from it but his girlfriend hasn't.

The girlfriend will ignore us if walking past and refuses to take any parcels in now (which is fine). She doesn't work so she's always at home while her man works, so normally around lunch time each day she throws out the leftover food from the night before. She throws it out onto the street outside her driveway normally more so over our side every single day.

This evening while I was in the kitchen shes came out of her house and chucked food directly right in front of our car which is parked in our drive way.

I am livid beyond words because its evident that it has been a deliberate stunt and now I'm left with what should I do.

AIBU for not wanting to let it go, being one to many times it's happened.

YANBU I'd really like to pick the food up and dump it all at her door step 🥴

This next neighbour of yours is a walking public health hazard !😕

Her actions show she has some serious issues going on.

She sound very immature and vindictive in a sly, back handed manner.

She knows exactly what she doing ,will acctract rats that could potential bit you or your member of your family, pets.

Rats can when they bit give you life changing/altering, disease,(I think it can shorten a person life span etc.!

Its called weal's disease

Bebethany · 26/02/2021 18:50

You should pick it up and dump it on her door step, she’s a filthy bitch. It will provoke a confrontation and you can both have a screaming match and get it over with!

OverweightPidgeon · 26/02/2021 18:56

@thosetalesofunexpected weils disease is passed through soil or water contaminated with rat urine not bites - but I get your drift Smile

RachandO · 26/02/2021 18:57

Definitely film her and contact your Council!

randomer · 26/02/2021 18:58

Why? Possibly donate a bin?

Jeeperscreepers69 · 26/02/2021 18:58

Report it to the council

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 26/02/2021 19:01

I can only assume that she's overheard people in the pub next door to the pizza place, heading for the bar at last orders, saying "Let's get one for the road" and completely misunderstood what they meant Grin

Peff68 · 26/02/2021 19:03

Very weird behaviour, any chance you could speak to her partner about it? To be honest it really does sound like she has mental health issues as this is not normal. If you retaliate it will probably get worse, so I know it’s easy to say but ignore her and she will probably get bored of making effort to do this, hopefully!

Harls1969 · 26/02/2021 19:08

Can you leave a shit on her doorstep?

KarmaStar · 26/02/2021 19:22

Dirty specimen!
Report to the environmental health dept.

Birdcloud · 26/02/2021 19:23

Well it seems to be working! Seriously, i suggest you and DH ask for a meeting with them both and talk it through. You can’t let it carry on. I had to do this when my DIL included me in a text telling her friend I was being ‘selfish as usual’ I felt very hurt, and we asked for a meeting where my DH told them what he thought. I go no apology, but she stopped asking us to babysit. I forgave and forgot it, and she is now ‘my best friend’ ...

Spud92 · 26/02/2021 19:24

This could be our old neighbours! They used to just dump food into the street when we have food bins. Disgusting, never was so glad to move out.

Emcolmol · 26/02/2021 19:25

I’d knock on her door & shove it right in her ugly face!!! How dare she!!!!! Or do u own a dog? Collect it’s shit and sling it at her windows

Celestine70 · 26/02/2021 19:26

That is disgusting behaviour who chucks food in the street?

nannykatherine · 26/02/2021 19:27

Make a log including photos and send to your environmental health departments ..

justletmeadoreyou · 26/02/2021 19:29

Pleeeaaaseee put it back through her letterbox!

nopuppiesallowed · 26/02/2021 19:33

If you retaliate things are likely to get worse and there might be a danger of her partner taking her side. Would it be better to see if being really nice would help? Perhaps a chat to husband and wife (socially distanced) to say that you are really sorry that there have been misunderstandings in the past but as you live next door to each other, you'd really like to be friends. Ask what they would like you to do to start it off. As the saying goes, 'You catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar.'
If that doesn't work, I'd take photos of the mess for a week and show it to her and say you'd like it to stop. If that doesn't work, tell her you will show the photos to her husband and let him deal with it. After that, it would be useful to show the photos to the relevant department at the council.

OverweightPidgeon · 26/02/2021 19:33

One for the road 🤣🤣

Jojo19834 · 26/02/2021 19:33

I only voted YABU as she is deliberately trying to wind you up so I would ignore her, let her be so stuck in the past and annoyed by whatever happened. It’s affecting her not you (until now!)

Eddielzzard · 26/02/2021 19:35

Watch her for a couple of days, figure out her routine. Then dress in a startling costume, hide behind your car at the appointed time and jump out at her while she's attempting the pizza fling. Run and her screaming and waving, chase her back to her house and then saunter back to yours. I reckon she'll never do it again.

Eddielzzard · 26/02/2021 19:38

Alternatively, hide in a bush and secretly film her. Upload it to youtube and somehow anonymously (haven't thought that out yet) link it to your local neighbourhood group.

Dragonsmother · 26/02/2021 19:44

Why not buy a small camera? I got a neosmarthomecamera from Amazon for £15.
But also sounds very strange. Why does she not cook for him? Are they not in a good relationship? Her poor OH is probably long suffering.

MummytoCSJH · 26/02/2021 19:44

A pile of rats GrinGrinGrin

SeaShoreGalore · 26/02/2021 19:51

People are so weird Grin

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 26/02/2021 19:57

Can you leave a shit on her doorstep?

Are these two comments related in any way? Do the EHO want to receive photos of your own home-made logs? Grin
