To be angry with my neighbours

So long story short had a bit of a run in with the neighbours a few years back, both me, my DH and the guy next door have moved on from it but his girlfriend hasn't.

The girlfriend will ignore us if walking past and refuses to take any parcels in now (which is fine). She doesn't work so she's always at home while her man works, so normally around lunch time each day she throws out the leftover food from the night before. She throws it out onto the street outside her driveway normally more so over our side every single day.

This evening while I was in the kitchen shes came out of her house and chucked food directly right in front of our car which is parked in our drive way.

I am livid beyond words because its evident that it has been a deliberate stunt and now I'm left with what should I do.

AIBU for not wanting to let it go, being one to many times it's happened.

YANBU I'd really like to pick the food up and dump it all at her door step 🥴

That is such bizarre behaviour OP. I can't even right now.

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:46

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll it's just the man that eats the pizza she makes dinner for herself and the 2 kids. I will be reporting and hopefully can get some proof to support my concern.

I laughed alot at the dolls picnic table 🤣🤣 I thought it was just me who used these in my younger years.

"Her partner eats a takeaway pizza every night for tea,"

Every night? Shock Is he huge?

BirdHedge · 25/02/2021 19:48

Get a ring doorbell. She’s batshit. Record and report her to the council.

Youarenothere · 25/02/2021 19:48

Where I grew up we had a meat tree for a while. Someone used to throw little plastic bags filled with raw meat into one of the trees on the road, started with just a few but really built up over time, the blood and rotten juices used to drip down onto the pavement and you’d have to remember never to walk under the meat tree in case it dripped on you. I always assumed mental health issues but never figured out who it was. People are strange

ScrambledSmegs · 25/02/2021 19:48

Completely OT but this has reminded me - DH's grandma used to throw the remains of the Sunday dinner out on the lawn 'for the birds'.

He has fond memories of playing football with his brother after lunch and skidding on roast potatoes EnvyGrin

YANBU

"throws leftover food away" is actually "she throws the crusts out for the birds"

My neighbour does this in his back garden, plenty of folk do. You made it sound like she threw away half a plate of stew and veg.

BirdHedge · 25/02/2021 19:49

@CallmeAngelina my friend has a neighbour who has had a takeaway every night for the entire lockdown season. Lives alone, 7days a week at the same time.

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:50

@CallmeAngelina surprisingly not, probably to do with the fact he doesn't eat it all though 🤣🤪

What the fuck?...have you ever asked her, 'what the fuck?' because what the fuck?!

bigbird1969 · 25/02/2021 19:51

sorry but how do you know what she and her kids eat?

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:52

@MintyMabel tbh it's more like half of the pizza, not just crusts. Also regardless its in front of my drive and not her own.

MouseOnAHedgehog · 25/02/2021 19:52

This is just bizarre. I literally can’t get my head round it. Definitely film this! And keep us posted Grin

debwong · 25/02/2021 19:53

@jakeyboy1

Are they Hansel and Gretel and she's leaving a pizza trail for him to find his way home?

Grim.

Grimm, surely Grin
goldielockdown2 · 25/02/2021 19:54

Could you not be getting something out your car just as she's pelting it with food and just ask her why she is doing so?

Slurtdragon · 25/02/2021 19:54

Film her doing it. Install a camera, even a ring door bell to catch her, and say to the partner it’s been happening you checked and it was her. Therefore your not deliberately trying to catch her out. What a scruffy mare. Absolutely disgusting. Them poor bloody birds too eating that crap. Such a scruff!

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:54

@bigbird1969 prior to the "run in" we had, myself and my DH got on well with her partner who told us that she cooks for her and kids and he has pizza. The delivery driver turning up every night with one single pizza box also tells me that that's still the case.

Does she think that vermin, out of gratitude for her leftover offerings, will stay out of her garden and hers alone?

Nocar · 25/02/2021 19:56

It is odd behaviour, but is she perhaps leaving the pizza crusts for the birds.

HarrietOh · 25/02/2021 19:56

This is so weird! Him eating a pizza every night. Her not clearing it up until lunch time the next day every day. Her throwing it out into the street infront of your drive. Definitely get her reported for littering!

@goldielockdown2 see the thing is I don't think she would dare chuck it out while I was out at the car. She's too sneaky for that.

On my street there's two streetlights that are the designated food waste areas. Every morning the seagulls go fucking mental when their offerings are delivered, it's amazing! Once we left the house at the wrong time and they nearly stole my toddler mistaking her for yesterdays left overs.

Someone left them an arm chair once, which I thought was very kind, the gulls loved that chair till the council nicked it.

I bloody love living in the fifteenth century 🤣

goldielockdown2 · 25/02/2021 19:59

Hide in the car and pop out! That's what I would do. I'd be asking questions 😂

Sparklesocks · 25/02/2021 19:59

Who has the money for a large takeaway pizza voice anyway?

In this economy?? 👵🏻
