To be angry with my neighbours

So long story short had a bit of a run in with the neighbours a few years back, both me, my DH and the guy next door have moved on from it but his girlfriend hasn't.

The girlfriend will ignore us if walking past and refuses to take any parcels in now (which is fine). She doesn't work so she's always at home while her man works, so normally around lunch time each day she throws out the leftover food from the night before. She throws it out onto the street outside her driveway normally more so over our side every single day.

This evening while I was in the kitchen shes came out of her house and chucked food directly right in front of our car which is parked in our drive way.

I am livid beyond words because its evident that it has been a deliberate stunt and now I'm left with what should I do.

AIBU for not wanting to let it go, being one to many times it's happened.

YANBU I'd really like to pick the food up and dump it all at her door step 🥴

It’s bonkers.

Can’t you just say to the man ‘please can your girlfriend stop throwing food on our drive/street’ and see how baffled he looks

Hellodarknessmyoldpal · 25/02/2021 19:22

Does she chuck stuff out her top window and shout 'gardy loo' too?

Seriously weird behaviour. If it is directly infront of your drive i would get a brush and weep it to the front of her drive. Will take seconds to do and would probably irritate her if she is trying to wynd you up. Mental!

GlamGloria · 25/02/2021 19:23

Install some cameras and catch her in the act!

CheshireDing · 25/02/2021 19:23

And take photos of the random pizzas throw out so ndn doesn’t think your the bonkers one when you speak to him

CheshireDing · 25/02/2021 19:24

You’re

mumwon · 25/02/2021 19:24

video her & send to environmental health at council & put on local facebook site

StellaDendrite · 25/02/2021 19:27

Set up cctv.

snowblower · 25/02/2021 19:27

How very odd. Just pizza 🍕 you say?

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:27

I'm pretty sure she empties the pizza straight out the box then recycles the box so she really is strange.

I may need to invest in a street food brush and brush it back to infront of her drive every time she does it while capturing what evidence I can.

Ahhh Mumsnet

It truly is the most entertaining social media platform around

Throwing pizzas at cars .... utterly nuts but sorry you have to live next door to a psychotic Julie Andrews

BakedTattie · 25/02/2021 19:30

This is the weirdest thing I’ve heard

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:30

@snowblower from what I've seen yeah just pizza although sometimes I'm only aware she's chucked stuff out when the birds start swarming around the drives and by then I can't make out what has been chucked out but its most definitely the left over pizza.

Sounds like she wants another row.

Krispyk · 25/02/2021 19:32

Even funnier, 2% of your audience seem to think lobbing a leftover Hawaiian at your car is perfectly reasonable Grin Grin Grin

nimbuscloud · 25/02/2021 19:33

People are strange

Onedropbeat · 25/02/2021 19:34

Crackpot she is

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 25/02/2021 19:34

Missing the point totally, but there's such a thing as leftover pizza? Wow!

LH1987 · 25/02/2021 19:35

I’m struggling to believe that someone just hurls leftovers onto the street and hasn’t been brought to task over it? Am I missing something ?

M24L · 25/02/2021 19:36

@nomorepies I live in quite a nice quiet street tbh only issue is the clat next door. I haven't seen any rats thankfully but there is rabbits, squirrels and foxes who make an appearance on the street at least once a day. I'm on one side and the neighbour on the other side works nightshift so probably not aware of what she the neighbour does during the day. I will be taking note of it from now on and passing on the neighbours and LA.

@Bluntness100

That’s absolutely disgusting, honestly I’d video that and send it to environmental health. There must be something wrong with her mentally. No one chucks their food on the street like that. And assuming she’s not mentally well, I’d not be wanting to get all up in her face.
I would video and send to EH too. That's likely to cause rats. Grim. She's disgusting and I would be livid too. Maybe even video and show her partner first. I don't think anyone would think that's a normal thing to do.
M24L · 25/02/2021 19:42

@LH1987 the neighbours who would be able to see work during the day so are out the house also given the way the street is it would be impossible for some neighbours to see what she is doing. Because it's mostly outside my house I can see it clearly, ive only recently been noticing it with being at home working due to covid and tbh at the start I gave her the benefit of the doubt but it's becoming frustrating now and happing daily so something needs done about it as crazy as it seems 🤪

Probably missing the point here, but if they eat pizza every night, why don't they just order a giant one every two or three days (works out not much dearer than a smaller one for loads more pizza) and keep the leftovers to microwave the next day/two days?

I'd put aside the fact that she has a grievance towards you and just focus on the fact that she's littering the public highway and attracting vermin. Report it to the council but don't make it personal against you (even though it is) - just a very antisocial thing to do in the neighbourhood full stop.

She doesn't sound well to me. Even if she misguidedly things she's doing a good thing to feed the birds and attract rats, that doesn't explain throwing the boxes and dolls'-house picnic tables out in the street too.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 25/02/2021 19:44

*thinks

MouseOnAHedgehog · 25/02/2021 19:45

@heidbuttsupper

Does she shout 'gardy loo'as she does it?
