To ask for Things you do in work/daily that are normal for you but others might be surprised at?

I realised that in work I change my shoes AT LEAST 10 times per day.

What do you do as a part of your day/job that others might find odd or wouldn't realise?

Why do you have to change your shoes so many times?

I've had some odd jobs. I used to have to put on wellies and wash them with disinfectant 10 times a day.

I watch TV. But it is part of my role so it isn’t strange really. But it might seem unusual to some people.

@Madamedelacroix thank you. I have to wear different shoes in different areas that I work in. So I change from my own shoes into one pair for most of the building and then I change again into another pair to go into other areas. So essentially going to the toilet means I have to change out of one pair and into another. Every break means I change back etc etc

I read out loud an A4 page about thirty times a day, I know it off by heart and dream about it.

I receive reports from a private investigator on people and their businesses to help me do my job. Nowhere near as intrusive as on the TV/in films but still enough to make me wary about the info I make publicly available.

Ok, this isn't changing my shoes 10 times a day, and not very interesting or exciting, but trust me, if you knew me in RL you would absolutely not believe that at work l..

My written communication is fully in Welsh, as are all staff interactions and any work documents.

Speak French (badly) quite a bit of the time. Written French is better

Drive through an Armed Checkpoint to do anything. (Or indeed walk). Take the kids to school, g3t home, go to the supermarket, just going for a walk...

I diagnose faults & come up with solutions for engineers working miles away on equipment I've never (and will never) see or touch.

Also, I use microfiche. NOBODY uses microfiche anymore 😂
