to think getting your baps out for charity is NOT OK

Went on a hen night Last night and did the usual pub crawl with about 12 other women. One of the pubs we ended up in was full of men (I think it was some kind of workmens club or something).

The bar manager was going around asking people to buy raffle tickets for charity which we all did. The woman who's hen party it was said she would get her baps out for all the men in the pub if they all put £5 in the hat all for charity. And no this is not a wind up thread this is very true.

Whilst I appreciate it was for a good cause I thought it a bit demoralising to the rest of the women there? I felt like all the men were judging as all to be the same. AIBU to think like this? All the other girls just laughed it off and said it was only a laugh and for a good cause.

She did get them out for the lads so to speak and they all put in a fiver but when they all cheered I just wanted to get the hell out of there.

She had only had 2 bottles of lager when she did it too . My DH said IABU and not to take it too seriously (wonder how he would feel if I had done it ).

It has been a very long time since I hit the town, I am in my thirties so maybe I am just a bit out of touch. I am in no rush to go out again after that. AIBU to feel annoyed she did that?

I think men would pay me NOT TO FLASH MY NORKS IYKEIM

pooka · 04/11/2007 22:08

I think if I whipped mine out there'd be a pause before any cheering while audience tried to work out where they'd gone. Answer: downwards.

pooka · 04/11/2007 22:09

And i wouldn't have done it even when they were pert and well-positioned.

WinkyWinkola · 04/11/2007 22:10

Hilarious story about the MIL.

A friend of mine's mother once yanked off her top and bra during a game of charades so that she could better mime a jockey. . My poor poor friend. Her boyfriend-soon-to-be-DH was her partner in the game trying to guess the charade. He was so honourable and kept his eyes on her face the whole time. None of us could guess what she was miming which made it even worse and made me laugh even more! I was laughing a lot because it wasn't my parents humiliating me for once!

Anyway, getting your tits out for charity? Maybe if you were going to make thousands on a calendar photo shoot but not for some 'orrible, lagered up punters. Brrrr. No way. It's ultimately up the individual although I don't think you're out of touch, LittleGoldFish. I'd've thought, "Loser," when I was 18 too.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:11

What if it was an all women audience? Would you do it then?

WinkyWinkola · 04/11/2007 22:11

Actually, there are far better ways of making money for charity.

expatinscotland · 04/11/2007 22:12

getting my dreadful baps out for any reason other than a medical exam would not be OK.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:14

I can think of one jolly good reason actually expat......

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 04/11/2007 22:16

I'd do it for the cystic fibrosis trust!

If a bunch of blokes are daft enough to pay a fiver to see my nondescript norks, abused by years of breast feeding, then I would be only too happy to get them out!

expatinscotland · 04/11/2007 22:17

well, feeding a baby, too.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:18

I'd whip mine out for a b/feeding calendar - charity or otherwise. Unfortunately, I have no baby to b/feed atm

TINSELTOESmumofDJ · 04/11/2007 22:18

you guys are funny I havent laughed so much for ages

My boobs are NOT PRETTY

very like that funny postcard you know the one where the old lady is at the bus stop minding her old business waiting for the number52 and a thug shouts over 'show us yer boobs lady'

to which she gently lifts up the hem of her skirt.....

hunkermunker · 04/11/2007 22:19

Ahem - breastfeeding doesn't make your boobs saggy

TINSELTOESmumofDJ · 04/11/2007 22:20

If I whipped mine out for a breastfeeding calendar NO ONE WOULD EVER BREAST FEED

I love breast feeding but Im pretty sure its had a heck of a lot to do with their, erm, decline

who cares though, they serve their purpose as im feeding ds2 and my hubby even still thinks theyre ok bless him !

EllaAndJosh · 04/11/2007 22:21

Jokes aside - No I would not get my norks out for anyone other than my DH. Like someone else mentioned, there are lots of ways of making money for charity.

pooka · 04/11/2007 22:21

Agree that not down to breastfeeding. In my case (and I am exagerrating - boobs actually not that bad) more down to weight gain during pregnancy and then rapid weightloss afterwards IMO. As well as the hormone fluctuations and the fact that they're not especially full any more.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:21

norks out for charidee

hunkermunker · 04/11/2007 22:21

It's pregnancy that changes breast shape.

Read the link and stop peddling myths, ladies!

policywonk · 04/11/2007 22:22

Aw, don't take away my excuse hunker

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:23

Ach, Jordan has arrived

B/feeding doesnt make your norks sag - pregnancy (the pg related hormones) does.

TINSELTOESmumofDJ · 04/11/2007 22:25

the way my ds strains to see the tv when its behind his head taking me with him as he does it has def stretched them and changed their shape I know that much

VeniVidiVickiQV · 04/11/2007 22:26

I think you'll find, tinseltoes, that he was just taking advantage of their already pliable state

WinkyWinkola · 04/11/2007 22:27

I'm not sure your average bloke cares whether boobs are saggy or not. Boobs is boobs.

TINSELTOESmumofDJ · 04/11/2007 22:28

possibly an inherent male trait me thinks

I wouldnt even mind but its not even cbbc hes trying to watch its the news
