Was lovingly loading the dish washer this morning (it's fairly new in my life and I love it) and I wondered if my washing machine, tumble dryer and dish washer all broke at the same time, which I would hope to replace first.

I think I might be unreasonable to say the dish washer. It brings me so much joy.

You ?

Washing machine then tumbler then dishwasher.

AJ1425 · 15/02/2021 17:06

Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. I do feel the same about my dishwasher though, its been two years now and I am still very much in love with it!

VettiyaIruken · 15/02/2021 17:06

Washing machine.

purpleme12 · 15/02/2021 17:06

Seeing as I survive without a tumble dryer and a dishwasher it'd have to be the washing machine 🤣

ElaineMarieBenes · 15/02/2021 17:06

@CherieBabySpliffUp so far everyone agrees so hard hat can be removed?

TechnoDino · 15/02/2021 17:06

Washing machine, with dishwasher a close second. Don’t oftem use my tumble drier.

Londonmummy66 · 15/02/2021 17:06

Definitely the dishwasher as I could always send DH to the laundrette Grin

Malbecfan · 15/02/2021 17:07

Washing machine. Dishwasher broke years ago and never replaced it. Don't have or need a tumble drier.

Disfordarkchocolate · 15/02/2021 17:08

Washing machine. We don't have a tumble dryer. I do love my dishwasher though.

Figgyboa · 15/02/2021 17:08

Hands down washing machine. Tumble dryer next

Hedgesgalore · 15/02/2021 17:09

Washing machine

Dishwasher

Tumble dryer

Ninkanink · 15/02/2021 17:09

Washing machine as that is an absolute essential. We couldn’t do without that for more than maybe a week at most. Then definitely the dishwasher. A dryer is great to have but we’ve done without one for the last six months as there’s nowhere practical for it to go in our house until we’re done with some renovations/building. We have a dehumidifier which we use to ensure our laundry dries as quickly as possible.

But I totally hear you on the dishwasher. I love it too and it definitely brings me a lot of joy.

thecatsthecats · 15/02/2021 17:10

I would have previously said dishwasher beat tumble dryer, but the sheer scale of annoyance at finding somewhere for everything to hang means the tumble dryer takes it.

I had a glorious set up in my last rented house. Upstairs kitchen leading onto a small bedroom we used as a walk in wardrobe. Washing machine and tumble dryer directly next to the bedroom.

Laundry took ten minutes input per load, and that's being generous.

Washing basket to machine. Switch machines. Pout in wardrobe.

I'd got with out a dishwasher for life for the perfect laundry set up.

MixedUpFiles · 15/02/2021 17:11

Washing machine.

I can’t go to a laundromat because of allergies and any clothing worn out of the house has to be washed also because of allergies so my only option would be hand washing all clothing for my family.

FangsForTheMemory · 15/02/2021 17:11

Washing machine. I've only just got my first dishwasher. I lived for 12 years in a flat with no washing machine and the drudgery of either washing by hand or lugging it all to the laundrette is something I'll never forget. I've never had a tumble dryer and never would because of the cost of running one. I do have a dehumidifier in my conservatory where I hang out washing.

FourEyesGood · 15/02/2021 17:12

Washing machine. I’ve never had a tumble drier or a dishwasher. Those things are always my favourite thing about staying in holiday homes! Grin

stillonthattightrope · 15/02/2021 17:13

Washing machine
Tumble dryer
Dishwasher
I've never had a dishwasher but would if I had the space. Washing machine and tumble dryer would both be replaced the day they broke.
Interest free credit somewhere if I didn't have the money.

FilthyforFirth · 15/02/2021 17:16

Dishwasher for sure. I would happily take my laundry round to parents to wash there but I cant take my dishes and I'll be buggered if I'm washing up again. One of the worst chores out there! I couldnt be without mg dishwasher.

Bedforme · 15/02/2021 17:17

Washing machine - hand washing almost impossible for me
tumble dryer - tough for me to lift to hang clothes
dishwasher - loved without and could again

Cadent · 15/02/2021 17:19
  1. Washing machine
  2. Tumble dryer (don’t have one)
  3. Dishwasher (don’t have one)
itsgettingwierd · 15/02/2021 17:19

I don't have a dishwasher.

I also have a washer dryer - which broke last week and new one was in within 3 days.

yeOldeTrout · 15/02/2021 17:19

I can & have washed family clothes by hand -- would rather not. Very much rather not.

LilMidge01 · 15/02/2021 17:20

well I don't have a dishwasher or tumble dryer because they are luxuries not essentials (that is fact, not judging here before I get crucified)....but if you do have all 3 obviously the washing machine as it is the most essential item

I actually had a dishwasher come with the flat when I moved in and I sold it because I didn't care for it and found the money far more useful....the majority of people I tell this to think I'm nuts. So.....I really don't get the dishwasher love, sorry

Pixilicious · 15/02/2021 17:22

Washing machine
Dishwasher
Tumble dryer

Chewingle · 15/02/2021 17:24

Washing machine by a huge margin

Then dish washer

Then distant third tumble dryer
