Hover your thumb over their faces and then glance out of the corner of your eye and see which sex your brain tells you each competitor is. Brains pretty good at that for most of us.

I thought this would never affect me, I even argued with my mum about it in defense of people just wanting to get on with their lives and being blind to the impact this would have on women.

I am not a national standard fell runner but I have friends that are and have been. I've raced against Lauren and lost a place as a result. I remember at the time thinking to myself that they look just like a man, how could that be, maybe they were just lucky to be so tall and thin? I don't know what to think about them being in a women's prison, but from a sporting point of view, it just isn't sporting. They have the bone structure and build of a post puberty male and for me personally I had my period on the day I raced them which makes me even more cross.

Sport is great and everyone should be welcome. In fell running everyone normally sets off on the same course all at once anyway so however you viewed yourself it would make no difference (unlike combat sports). I like running with lots of different folk but I want my results to just be counted against other women on the score sheet. They could have still run the same races and taken part by ticking male, they just wouldn't have been able to be the women's fell running champion.

Not at all, I've just seen powerfully built sprinters before. I'm assume that that's what you're using as "evidence" because the pictures are too low res to make out any significant facial features. Type "women's sprinter" into Google and you will see a lot of capped delts (which plenty of men do not have). If that's not your basks, I honestly have no idea how you're markers you're using.

The people posting pics of transwoman who appear much taller than their teammates etc... You do realise that the greatest footballer in the world is 5'6 and has quite a slight build compared to other footballers, yes? Being bigger doesn't necessarily equate to being better

FFS. You do realise, that a 5ft 6 male footballer would out perform a 5ft 6 female footballer though? So, if they decided next week to go by the name of Barbara, they should NEVER be allowed on the women's football team
