Despite not being a rabid feminist or anti trans you're now a hateful Terf smallgoon

Turns out, you are just like the other girls after all

yourhairiswinterfire · 14/02/2021 21:01

But Fallon has been beaten by women

And the worst 'injury' Fox sustained was probably a bruised ego, not a broken skull...

user234987653 · 14/02/2021 21:02

I see some think this was okay because sport categorisation is based on size and weight.

I ask them the following:

You say it is okay for an 11 stone person born male bodied to fight an 11 stone person born female bodied because the person born in a male body feels like a female. If it is okay, why are ALL sports, both individual and team, not mixed sex. There are plenty of males and females who are of similar size and weight so why not just throw them all up against each other willy nilly in every sport.

Could it be that there are many other factors at play that differ between the sexes that advantage males, such as denser muscle mass, increased stamina, heightened spacial awareness etc. that are the reason that men and women have not previously been able to compete against each other for safety reasons.

A male born person feeling female does remove the physical advantages that their born male physique provides to them.

This is ridiculous pandering and is putting female born women in danger.

In boxing, Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson both retired at 38. (And looking at wikipedia, Tyson should have retired before that?)

Fallon Fox launched their professional MMA career at 37, according to wikipedia. After transition!

But that’s not what this was in response to, this was in response to posters saying a woman can’t beat a man.
Impatiens · 14/02/2021 21:15

@Fembot123

Anyone got a link to the fight being discussed as I can only find two, one where Fallon gets knocked out and another when they get totally dominated by their female opponent.
That's funny, I googled Fallon Fox and it came up with 'broke opponent's skull' and linked to several articles about that fight. Have a try.
Impatiens · 14/02/2021 21:18

Also there was this tweet from Fox

Woah @Impatiens no need to be absolutely coated in sarcasm 😁 What I want is a link to the fight, I’m not questioning it happening and people up thread have said they’ve seen it. You should take up a martial art get some of that pent up aggression out.

Fembot123 · 14/02/2021 21:19

A video if you will.

IsThePopeCatholic · 14/02/2021 21:19

It’s not a level playing field. What on earth has happened to women’s rights? Why are men usurping women’s hard-fought rights? Transgender women are not women.

Impatiens · 14/02/2021 21:20

You ok Fembot123 you seem upset? No sarcasm intended, I was just surprised you couldn't find anything about that fight as it's the first thing that came up when I googled FF

Coffeeandcocopops · 14/02/2021 21:21

@SakuraEdenSwan1

The fighters know what they are up against, their choice to do it, but I see exactly your point. It's like a trans prisoner trying to get into a woman's prison.
No they don’t have a choice. They will be called terfs. They will lose valuable sponsorship. They will lose their ranking.
Fembot123 · 14/02/2021 21:21

Are Transgender women allowed to participate in men’s sports, meaning do they get a choice? Genuine question before anyone gets mad.

CiderJolly · 14/02/2021 21:21

Can we send this to Piers? I’m not on Twitter but I bet if you highlighted it to him he would cover it.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/02/2021 21:22

women should boycott until this moronic situation is resolved, reversed and ratified for the bullshit it is

All supporters should boycott - not just women

Yeah turn it round, whatever 😂 I can’t find a video of the fight, no. Don’t remember saying I couldn’t find anything. Got a link?
MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 14/02/2021 21:23

In martial arts that are based on kicking & punching, there is always a chance of the weaker competitor landing a lucky blow/blows. But that doesn't mean it's a fair fight if one of them is much heavier. That's why we have weight categories. A featherweight boxer can occasionally KO a heavyweight, but no one suggests they should compete routinely.

Fembot123 · 14/02/2021 21:23

To a video of the fight that is.

Coffeeandcocopops · 14/02/2021 21:24

My 18 year old son weighs exactly the same weight as me. He is 6ft and has size 9 feet. I’m 5’6” with size 6 feet. My kids are normal size. How could anyone suggest that it’s a fair fight based on weight!

I think a lot of people on the thread don’t see these things as sports and are shocked by the violence before we’ve even covered the transgender issue.
SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/02/2021 21:28

Quite right. It is unfair to the male competitors: they are either going to have to hold back, or risk causing a permanent injury. Why should they be put in that position, just to validate Mack's feelings?

I hope this is a joke, MissLucy.

It's hard to tell sometimes.

Coffeeandcocopops · 14/02/2021 21:28

Men generally have longer limbs so longer arm length and bigger hands and shoulders.

Isn’t women’s rugby going the same way?

Impatiens · 14/02/2021 21:28

All supporters should boycott - not just women

Exactly - it shouldn't be left for the sportswomen themselves to try to take this on alone, trans activists are very influential and can be absolutely toxic when opposed (ask JK Rowling!). Sportswomen need the public to get behind them.

And that was probably why "she" retired - nothing more humiliating than to be beaten by a girl .. .
