To feel somewhat upset with this Valentine's card from my husband?

My husband is a typical last-minute card and present-buyer, but this really takes the biscuit. His excuses - it was the last one left in Tesco Express, Asda was too busy and he had forgotten his glasses. Excuse for not buying one earlier - he is recovering from his Covid jab ( he had it on Thursday). Excuse for not buying one before then - none.

To feel somewhat upset with this Valentine's card from my husband?

I remember when I was a child, my uncle gave me and my sister a Christmas card which had printed on it “To a Special Couple” on which he wrote “of Nieces” in biro. That made me laugh too

This really tickled me, sorry. Coming from someone who just had an anniversary card from my husband saying “With love to the both of you”. Is your husband my husband? ;) I laughed really loud. Men 😂

I'd rather have no card then an absolute shit card. My H is fully aware of this and I don't get a card.

I would find this funny but then I'd be on the hunt for similar cards I could give to him on his b day etc and it would probably turn into a whole thing Grin

Due to the last update I’ve changed my mind and don’t think it’s funny.

It hurts when there is a chance to redeem ones self and they fuck it up further.

Have you weighed up your options on how your life would be without him instead? How much is being loved worth to you? That’s the question I suppose.

I’d leave OP, you deserve more than what your gwtting.

You say he doesn't show you love in any other way, OP. Are you thinking this was done on purpose? Cause to the rest of us, it just looks like a man who was actually trying to do something nice for you..

What did he write in it, isn't that the important bit? I barely even look at the front of cards unless they have been carefully chosen just for me, usually the blank cards with a picture the giver knows I'd love. If it was just one of those teddy ones I doubt I'd have noticed the words on the front.

Just cut the top off. I got an e-card which was meh. Until I went on Moonpig and was shown what he could have sent two bins shagging etc goddawful lcd shite.
I took your advice - it looks much better and the other words are nice. I have forgiven him now.

That’s hilarious 😆 I’d just have to laugh and not get upset at least he bothered! A relative gave my daughter a card for her birthday which was actually a wedding card, “ congratulations on your wedding” she’s shielding so can’t get out and must’ve had it at home, we found it funny 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s the thought that counts 😂

My husband gave me a valentines card once a few years after we’d been married saying ‘to my girlfriend’. I reminded him we were married and expressed concern that he’d got mine and OW card mixed up, and that if she had the one with ‘wife’ on it she may think it was a subtle offer of betrothal. 😂 he just looked flummoxed.

He also got mil a card from the kids one Xmas saying to My Great grandmother. As he thought it meant a Grandmother who is great. He couldn’t see the difference when it was explained.

That would just make me laugh to be honest. I had flowers delivered, chocs and some nice earrings - no card though. Most men just don't get the card thing. My oh just thinks they're pointless and so doesn't bother and I'm kind of ok with that really.
