Soft porn included in "recommended resources" for secondary school kids in Wales

I have seen it all. The Women's Equality Network in Wales and produced a "toolkit" to celebrate international women's day which links to resources from Gal Dem which includes a soft porn video where the actress says "how do you want to f**k tonight Daddy". Also on the site are tips for "kinky zoom orgies"

Have they actually lost their minds? More information here:

twitter.com/SafeSchools_UK/status/1360320342141653006?s=20

AIBU to think this is just out and out grooming?

Have attached a screenshot for those who don't like to click on links

I'll think.of something else to say at some point but for now ...ShockAngry

2fallsagain · 12/02/2021 22:06

What the hell? This is so depressing. It's relentless.

Whatwouldscullydo · 12/02/2021 22:10

I'm unsure what anyone was trying to achieve here.

Was it an accident?

Trying to "get down with the kids "?

What?

Fir a womens equality party to promote porn, something known to be exploitive and cause women no end of problems in relationships...wtf were they thinking

Thatwentbadly · 12/02/2021 22:11

I would need to see the actual materials before I could comment on how appropriate or not I believe them to be.

persistentwoman · 12/02/2021 22:13

Sadly this isn't the only organisation pushing porn and age inappropriate sexualised materials at children. There are a worrying number of them.

To use International Women's Day as cover for it is especially repellent.

TravellingTilbury · 12/02/2021 22:13

Well spotted OP. And yes, it's terrible and it does look like grooming.

UK Column are good at investigating this sort of thing - might be worth emailing them.

Our poor kids.

Click on the SSA tweet and you will see links to the pack which includes a link to this site. gal-dem.com

Which gives you a link to this video. gal-dem.com/shorties-watch-as-a-cam-girl-session-becomes-a-funny-meet-cute/

I suggest you don't click on it if there are kids nearby.

I keep typing things and deleting them. I just don’t know what to say. I want to cry for girls nowadays, it’s no wonder they’re so desperately trying to identify out of being female if this is what they’re being taught it means.

Fuck you! Fuck you to hell all you evil scum who’re grooming girls to be compliant little fuck dolls. Fuck you to hell!

This is the full document linked in the article linked by WEN: www.transgendertrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/IWD2021.WenWales.Toolkit.English.pdf

This is what makes it doubly horrific to me. This is being painted as empowering to women.

Either the WEN know exactly what they are doing, which means they are grooming children and need to be called out. Or they didn't check what they were linking to which means they have no place at all producing anything for children and need to be called out. Who is funding this?

Thanks. And yes, there are loads more problems with this Toolkit beyond the groomy porn as evidenced by Transgender Trend.

Can you report this to the Police?

All parents now need to be emailing in every term to ask for a full list (and links/copies) of all materials that are proposed to be shown to their dcs over the comig term. (Ideally, they then need to query anything that breaches the guidelines and if they get ignored they need to lodge a formal complaint. But at least do the asking).

Only then will schools start to do the due diligence required of them and start to think about the underlying issues.

VestaTilley · 12/02/2021 22:30

YANBU. I hate how sex ed has become a whole industry outsourced to consultants who are obviously dodgy AF and who have either an agenda, or are apparently unaware of what is normal or appropriate to share with kids. I hate it.

Please, please complain to the school, county council and Govt education department.

FemaleAndLearning · 12/02/2021 22:35

Utter madness. Does noone care about safeguarding? I have two daughters and would be livid if they were exposed to this.

Mind you they do appear to be confused about who they are advocating for. They say women and girls but include boys and men in their definition of female.
Come on which one is it?

I was just about to ask why girls were described as some last minute addition...
