I have seen it all. The Women's Equality Network in Wales and produced a "toolkit" to celebrate international women's day which links to resources from Gal Dem which includes a soft porn video where the actress says "how do you want to f**k tonight Daddy". Also on the site are tips for "kinky zoom orgies"

Have they actually lost their minds? More information here:

AIBU to think this is just out and out grooming?

Have attached a screenshot for those who don't like to click on links

I wonder how many teachers will raise their hands and point out the safeguarding issues with this.

Response from Wen Wales.

Thank you for bringing to our attention that it currently has content on its homepage which would not be appropriate for teachers to share with their pupils. We have therefore removed the link. We have also clarified on our communication that the toolkit is for teachers and youth workers, who can sign up to receive it.

🙌

I would be beyond livid if any of my teens were exposed to this AT SCHOOL.
It's grooming in plain sight. It makes me feel sick.

FemaleAndLearning · 16/02/2021 16:47

Well done, great news.

Incredible.

Just like the YA books written by an ex-teacher with a Lolita like plot. Dawson is lauded for their work.

Hubblebubble75 · 16/02/2021 16:55

Well done !

I'd agree its not porn (though GoT was, at times which is why they hired porn actresses) - but it's not appropriate for a school to be showing or recommending to students. Whether they are 11 or 17, plenty of parents are not going to be ok with the school suggesting to their kids that these are things wroth watching or has messages about sex that are healthy or in any way positive.

If some parents on MN want their kids to watch these things, great. It's not the role of the school to make that decision.

There was a time when I thought complaints about schools teaching sex ed and such were pretty overblown. I don't any longer - they clearly have no clue about the boundaries appropriate to their role and overstep them without a thought if it seems faddish.

SmokedDuck a teacher commented on a similar thread previously that this task is often given to new grads on the premise that the children would relate better to someone younger. The problem, she explained, is that they lack life experience, are often naive about safeguarding issues and, if they are not parents themselves, can forget that parents may have a legitimate and genuine interest in what is being taught.
