Oddly enough a PP mentioned the lunacy of modern money "creation" and also financial illiteracy among those who dont have enough to play the markets etc, and now there is some broohaha going on around Gamestop shares ..... haven't quite got my head round it but on Reddit it's being called out as unfair because limits have been imposed, yet bankers and financiers get a free rein? It's all a bit Greek to me, so need to bring myself up to speed, but wondered if this could be some kind of conspiracy theory....

Was just about to mention this! I have been watching this excitedly for the last 48 hours. It really is a David vs Goliath story. The bankers "shorted" or bet against Gamestop at $20. If the share price fell they stood to make a lot of money. Conversely if the share price rises then they have to pay the difference. There was a reddit/discord group where everyone said to buy Gamestop shares pushing the price up to over $200 leaving the bankers on the hook for $77 billion. It trended and lots of ordinary people bought shares, the bankers complained and trading was suspended!

A conspiracy that is more fact than fiction. In our technological age maybe digital economic terrorism will become a thing, if it isn't already. Poor bankers have to be protected?

For the GameStop thing - it isn’t unusual for regulators to step in and stop trading. A few years ago (I think 2016?) there was an algo trading platform that went haywire and they had to close down trading as the losses were so huge. If the price gets pushed up too much, it will come down at some point and there will be a lot of unsophisticated investors sitting on massive losses. Part of the role to regulators is to protect consumers. I’m not so aware with the us on this point, but there are lots of restrictions in the U.K. around what retail investors are allowed to access. It’s illegal to try and sell things like complex derivatives to a grandmas or local councils (something that did happen in the past).

Regarding JFK , I remember reading the scene in Oliver stone’s movie is based on fact. Pre assembled news about Oswald being the killer was circulating just before Dallas police arrested him.
Also here, a call was made to a local newspaper and someone informed a reporter that something big is about to happen in the US ,25 minutes before Kennedy was shot. I think the reporter informed the MI5 about it.

Another strange thing is the babushka lady filming at dealey plaza , she just seemed so calm and unfazed standing there while everyone was panicking and running. No trace of her or the photos she took though!

The people I follow on Twitter were recommending Nokia, Blackberry last week and I thought they had gone cuckoo. Next is apparently Silver which JPMORGAN is apparently overexposed to.

Look up the current issue with some reddit sub buying stock in GameStop to make the short sellers pay, then look at how the likes of CNN had to resort to calling them out as Trump/4chan despite it being obvious it is nothing but the opposite, then loko at when they have caused some big Wall street companies to lose up to a cuople of Billion others have stepped in and disabled the app for the averedge retail inestor.

I;ve made money as I was in it since november and sold last week as it hit the press, but this is the same people who escaped the 2008 financial crisis and dictate global markets being taught a lesson and the media.tech companies coming down on them
