There was a documentary on this a few years ago, after the conviction was quashed, and the police officer interviewed maintained that he believed the individual to be guilty. If that is said on public television - on the bbc then I fail to see why a post about it would be removed.
I don't see why the post was deleted either, but on the subject of the documentary, there were two documentaries that aired around the same time. One was very clearly biased towards painting George as 100% guilty and which only interviewed people who believed he was guilty, and one which was neutral and covered all the evidence and all the different opinions and povs. If you only watched the "guilty" one it's easy to see how someone would form an opinion he was guilty, but watching both of them really exposed how incredibly biased and inaccurate and agenda-pushing the BBC one was, and how much evidence they'd left out or twisted. I remember there being a big fuss at the time over how obviously biased the BBC was compared to the other documentary.
