Neguse plays clips of those interviewed after going to D.C. for the attack. He says impeachment mgrs will show how Trump refused to help end attack. How he betrayed Mike Pence, and when finally, 3.5 hrs later, he told rioters "go home" he added "You're very special. We love you"

Joe Neguse is even better today than he was yesterday, I think. Mind you, his material speaks for him.

I saw mentioned yesterday that Trump's lawyers had changed their tactics after seeing the House impeachment managers speeches, deliberately trying to detract from the high emotion that had been created by the video of the storming of the Capitol and the highly personal approach had they presented. I don't think that will work today.

At the core of @JoaquinCastrotx's presentation was his showing President Trump repeatedly lying about the 2020 election before and after the votes were counted.

Trump said falsely over and over again including on the night most Americans voted, "We did win the election."

I think the tactic of letting film and rioters words speak instead of legislators is very clever
it will isolate the fanatics from the waverers in the country
and give funders the excuse they need to shut the check book

Here @RepSwalwell is also emphasizing what @RepJoeNeguse did: A crucial component of Trump's demagoguery was telling his supporters that they were the victims of a tyrannical injustice, and that only they could defend themselves.

The importance of this can't be overstated.

An example

Swalwell cited a Trump tweet claiming "DEAD PEOPLE VOTED," saying no evidence to that effect was offered. The tweet did link to a Tucker Carlson report alleging that dead people voted —which Carlson later had to correct when several of those voters were found alive and well.
