Bloody squirrels

So sat at home today on a day off and noticed a couple of squirrels on the balcony. I think they might be living on the balcony next door as there’s a gap between the two balconies. I’ve rung the housing association abs their going to get pest control to get in touch. But I’m a vegan abs the thought of finding a dead squirrel on the balcony makes me feel a bit queasy 😬.
Any suggestions on how to discourage the buggers. I’m on the second floor.

Do you call pest control if you see a pigeon on your balcony? I don't understand why a squirrel that isn't inside your flat is a problem

@Pyewhacket in that case- here is my local squirrel, who is a total sweetheart, and sits next to me to ask for nuts every time I go to a particular spot in the park. (Yes I know he probably does it to others too)

Gosh. Bite you and the kids? That doesn’t happen unless you trap ans scare them. Ever. They run away. You need to provoke them to bite. Squirrels are really sweet. And terrified of humans.

I honestly don’t know how you can call people nasty when you’re the one trying to have squirrels killed like this. They aren’t going to cause you or your kids any harm.

Jeez OP, you never mentioned cables or your fear of your kids being bitten in your OP. But as a fellow nurse, I haven’t come across a squirrel bite in my 19 years of nursing so I believe it must be rare and you have just been unfortunate coming across it in your career.
