Bloody squirrels

So sat at home today on a day off and noticed a couple of squirrels on the balcony. I think they might be living on the balcony next door as there’s a gap between the two balconies. I’ve rung the housing association abs their going to get pest control to get in touch. But I’m a vegan abs the thought of finding a dead squirrel on the balcony makes me feel a bit queasy 😬.
Any suggestions on how to discourage the buggers. I’m on the second floor.

Mine were called Noel, Sharon, and Tiny Tim, because he was missing a leg and half a tail.

@Counttotenandtryagain

What a bunch of nasty people on hear. I posted asking fir suggestions to discourage them on my second floor balcony which has cables running outside. It’s a small tiny balcony. For the people that asked no I’m not a vegan because it’s in trend. Why I called pest control is because I don’t want to leave my balcony door out have them come in the flat and bite me or the kids. And before people jump on me for that it does happen (speaking as a nurse). What bike individuals some of you are. To those that haven’t jumped on me thank you. Fuck your mums net
Well firstly my Mum doesn’t have a net and if she did I’m not sure I would want to fuck it Secondly, it’s tragic that you are having to treat all these squirrel attacks (as a nurse)
Slackarse · 21/01/2021 16:50

@SmidgenofaPigeon Ooh lovely names! Poor Tiny Tim.

XingMing · 21/01/2021 16:51

We shoot em here. Squirrels are vermin.

Brilliant
SmidgenofaPigeon · 21/01/2021 16:52

@XingMing yes it was a bit sad but he was fine. Was really good at climbing and just cracked on as normal! Think someone either tried to trap him and he was injured or he suffered a cat attack.

Slackarse · 21/01/2021 16:52

My squirrel was just called Mr. Squirrel. I think it was a he, but not sure.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 21/01/2021 16:53

Sorry that was to @Slackarse because I see @XingMing is unfortunately a squirrel hater. That’s sad.

DeciduousPerennial · 21/01/2021 16:55

All the squirrels here are called Professor

They speak highly of you, ye bampot!
Slackarse · 21/01/2021 16:56

@SmidgenofaPigeon We have a huge walnut tree in our garden. I keep some and feed the squirrels all winter. 🙂

Bluntness100 · 21/01/2021 17:00

I’ve never heard of anyone getting a squirrel bite. Ours run away if you get too close.

One made me chuckle the other day, came running down the garden path at full speed towards me, I was amused thinking “ oh you coming at me bro” it got to about two feet away, saw me, skidded to a halt on the ice, and then did a swift u turn and ran as fast as it could go in the other direction. 😂

My dad used to call out squirrel Godzilla. I say our but there were loads so I'm not sure he actually differentiated.
SmidgenofaPigeon · 21/01/2021 17:03

@Slackarse that’s nice of you, they bloody love walnuts. I got a load of reduced nuts after Christmas and am giving out hazelnuts left right and centre, the urban squirrels round here don’t know what to do with themselves, don’t think they’ve had many hazelnuts.

SingleHandSue · 21/01/2021 17:06

@FutureDuchessofHastings

Why would you leave your door open in this weather? You and your children could catch a chill which could be mistaken for covid and you'd have to isolate in your squirrel besieged home for ten days. Or, your children could injure themselves or fall from the balcony. Both things more probable than a squirrel entering your home and savagely attacking you and your children as you nurse from home. Wild animals typically avoid human contact as much as they can. As delicious looking I'm sure you and your children are, I'm sure you don't look like a bag of nuts so you should be safe in your beds tonight. By the way, you're veganning wrong.
🤣🤣🤣
JustCallMeGriffin · 21/01/2021 17:06

The OPs update has made my day.

Not only am I a bike individual nope me neither but hospitals aren't overwhelmed because of covid...it's the squirrel bites!

Still think they're a shit vegan for calling pest control though.

Blimey, I really hope you aren't actually a nurse Shock
Misshapencha0s · 21/01/2021 17:16

You don't have to eat them. Poor squirrels

SlopesOff · 21/01/2021 17:21

Are bike individuals similar to trick cyclists?

Derekhello · 21/01/2021 17:22

@Bluntness100

Ehrm why are you taking issue with it? Are they causing damage?

Surprised at a vegan calling oest control on a couple of squirrels...

I thought this too
