Ive NC for this as I'm a regular and this is a bit random I know! I've had a few relationships over the years and not been really satisfied with sex. Find myself fantasising about being with a man who is a real expert. Not sure I could ever have the nerve to do so and would have no idea where to start! And certainly not now for obvious reasons but I'm curious and would love to hear about other's experiences.

OP posts:

Sex trafficking is driven by men. It's no secret many enjoy exploitation and harming others.

CatAndHisKit · 17/01/2021 14:17

nothing beats a man who is so into you and you fancy him too and there is amazing chemistry. You can't buy that.

Of course, but OP haven't found that option! takes years sometines to meet someone single and have a passionate chemisrty on both sides.

OP I think there really aer professionals who are talented and like what they do - but they aer usualy not cheap (more like very good full body massage men therapists, where some of them blur the lines). I think it works much better for women as it's not wham bam but if they've got a good touch and get yo going first, it's easy to feel some chemistry.
I was once in a posh European hotel with an alternative health centre - they had an amazingly talented masseur (actually older than me) and I tell you you'd be half way there just after the treatment but he was a bit flirty in the end - I bet he accepts request for more. I didnt as wasnt single / bit nervous, but it's a thing.
So if you do go on these sites, maybe look for someone on these lines rather than just a muscle bound 'I can go forever' type!

CatAndHisKit · 17/01/2021 14:19

(and obviously if he becomes a regular, it won't feel like habing sex with a stranger).

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:22

Yeah because the only reason you’d not recommend it to your kids is because it’s ‘high risk’.
In fact, some escorts say it’s not particularly risky in the right circumstances

Yes I do think it's high risk. I think it's potentially high risk of std, emotional harm and violence. It doesn't mean I would seek to ban others, who have actively chosen to do it themselves, without pressure from other people. I did it myself for a short while when I was younger. My choice. My rates. It was not without risk. I'd prefer my kids to study for a better job with lower risk.

You described it as a 'legitimate job' a few posts back.

Could you list all the other 'legitimate jobs' which have a "potentially high risk of std, emotional harm and violence"?

Emeraldshamrock · 17/01/2021 14:27

There isn't a huge market for straight male prostitution so many are willing to give it away for free. Sign up to online dating be specific no strings, it'll give you a chance to choose the partner.
Always tell a friend when going to seek a stranger. Wink

mam0918 · 17/01/2021 14:28

I use to live in an area with many prostitutes, I would go talk to some of them, many where quite friendly but had had tragic lives - I can almost garantee than non where 'experts' in sex though.

Most where alcoholic and drug users, many where also very young (some even underage runaways) while others where much older (grandma aged) that needed money for their habits (and many had legitimate reasons for their vices it was quite sad).

I suppose if you are paying a lot of money for an agency 'escort' type prostitute it might be better but who knows... I imagine you just spend a lot of money and still end up disappointed.

@EmilyInParis

I see the OP hasn't been back in a while..
Maybe she’s annoyed her thread has been derailed? She asked for people’s experiences, after all.
Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:30

There are many jobs that carry high risk. Not so much STDs, but the army for one carries a high risk of emotional and physical harm. My DC wants to join the army. I don't want that for them either.

I didn’t ask you if you thought it was high risk, you and already said so.

I asked if the only reason you wouldn’t recommend it to your kids was because of the risk.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:31

You described it as a 'legitimate job' a few posts back.

Yes. If a genuine choice is exercised to do it then it is a legitimate job.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:32

Yes. I would not want them to do it because it's high risk. That is the only reason.

Obviously joining the military does present risks, but there are extensive safeguards to minimise those risks and to care for those who have suffered mental or physical damage. You can also freely leave the military if you decide it's no longer for you.

There are zero protections offered to those who 'choose' prostitution. Nor could it ever be consistent with health and safety regulations. And I see you haven't replied to my previous two questions about this 'legitimate' profession.

IcedPurple · 17/01/2021 14:34

@Opheliaa

Yes. If a genuine choice is exercised to do it then it is a legitimate job.

If someone makes a 'genuine choice' to be a drug pusher, is it then a 'legitimate job'?
SnickersnotMArs · 17/01/2021 14:35

@TammyHullfigure

Expert? Are you for real? Sex is about chemistry, passion, attraction.... You will not get that with a prostitute. You will be a business transaction.
I agree.
TatianaBis · 17/01/2021 14:35

Well you can exercise a ‘genuine choice’ to be a burglar - it doesn’t qualify as a ‘legitimate‘ job.

Legitimate literally means lawful. Prostitution is not itself illegal but activities around it are - soliciting, running a brothel, pimping etc.

It’s not something you can put on your CV either.

TatianaBis · 17/01/2021 14:36

If someone makes a 'genuine choice' to be a drug pusher, is it then a 'legitimate job'?

Quite.

movingonup20 · 17/01/2021 14:37

I wouldn't but then it wasn't exactly difficult to get offers for free when I was single (turned them down) - just not my thing, I like sex to actually mean something

Viviennemary · 17/01/2021 14:40

I saw a programme about them once. Ages ago. It would be really embarrassing if they arrived and you thought oh no I just couldn't. Grin

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:41

If someone makes a 'genuine choice' to be a drug pusher, is it then a 'legitimate job'?

No. Because that causes harm to other people. A legitimate source of drug pushing, such as being a chemist is fine.

Goingtothebudgies · 17/01/2021 14:41

I saw a TV programme about this. There was a man - probably in his early 30s - who was frequently booked by a high-flying business woman. She was single, and worked extremely hard and travelled a lot, so found it difficult to have relationships. She would book him for a full night at a time. It wasn't cheap. He was apparently extremely good at sex and she was very happy with the deal.
I don't think these men would necessarily be the muscled type. Just reasonably good looking would be enough. They would wear a condom, obviously.
I imagine that there's much less call for them now that Tinder etc exists.

IcedPurple · 17/01/2021 14:43

@Opheliaa

No. Because that causes harm to other people. A legitimate source of drug pushing, such as being a chemist is fine.

But the 'legitimacy' or otherwise of jobs isn't decided by your subjective opinions of what causes harm to other people. Cigarettes cause great harm, yet it is perfectly legitimate to sell them in certain conditions.

And I would say prostitution causes harm to all women.

Beautifulbonnie · 17/01/2021 14:46

The problem with male escorts is that usually women need an emotional connection to have sex. Whereas men it’s much more visual. So for us. We need to connect. Have chemistry. For a man. He just needs it to look good

Obviously there are some differences. Sometimes all a woman needs is a good looking man etc. But biologically. We need a good mate. A figure who would make w good father etc.

This is why women don’t use them often

BUT it’s becoming more common. I recently read an article which stated how one woman used them often and loved it. She had a high flying career which left no time. Not enough needed to make the connection on a life level. But was sexually frustrated.

Believe it or not. There are some women who enjoy being sex workers. Just like there are some men and not all are trafficked or forced against their will

Though it’s seedy. It’s seen as seedy to most (women) especially. If you’ve got a big gang of men. You could easily talk about women as though they are objects. Because men often see paying for sex differently. This subject on a male forum would produce probably vast differences.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 14:46

And I would say prostitution causes harm to all women

It causes harm to women that are forced in to it. It may cause harm to those who choose to go into it too. But it doesn't cause harm to all women that make a choice to do it. It didn't cause harm to me. So it doesn't cause harm to all women. There will be other women who have had the same experience as me. So do not seek to speak for all women.

IcedPurple · 17/01/2021 14:49

The notion that women's bodies are up for sale and can be purchased by men is damaging to all women.

Care to answer my previous questions about this 'legitimate' profession?

Do you think it should be included in school career guidance?

Or that those claiming unemployment benefits should be obliged to take it up or risk losing those benefits?

If it's a 'legitimate' job, then surely the answer to both of the above will be 'yes'.
