To wonder if anyone has used a male prositute

Ive NC for this as I'm a regular and this is a bit random I know! I've had a few relationships over the years and not been really satisfied with sex. Find myself fantasising about being with a man who is a real expert. Not sure I could ever have the nerve to do so and would have no idea where to start! And certainly not now for obvious reasons but I'm curious and would love to hear about other's experiences.

My male friend does this when he needs the extra cash. He sees it as a quick way to make extra money when he needs it. He advertises as a masseuse though.

Women come to his house, where he has a massage table set up. He says they always offer to pay for extras, which he does.

He lives in what is considered a very rough area and most of his clients are from much nicer areas, money areas of you will. They apparently like a 'bit of rough'.

I ask him endless questions and although he answers some, he won't answer all. He won't give me his price list for example. Won't tell what he gets asked for specifically. He will say he gets a lot of repeat business when he reopens, so he can't be that bad.

He seems very matter of fact about it all, if anything.

AlternativePerspective · 17/01/2021 11:33

IMO men who use prostitutes are the lowest of the low. And by definition so are women.

And for the people who say some choose to do it, the fact is you have no way of knowing whether that’s true or not, because no person you pay to have sex with is going to tell you their story. They’re paid to perform a function.

If you want to satisfy yourself buy a vibrator.

Hope4theBestPlan4theWorst · 17/01/2021 11:33

I used to be admin for an NHS sexual health clinic and I would never go down this route

Plenty of men are exploited and pimped in the same as women are, sometimes trafficked and living in awful squalid conditions and developing drug and alcohol dependency not to mention the risk of transmission of STD's

If you are frustrated in a sexless relationship end the relationship and find someone new who you can have a satisfying and loving relationship with.

Willheorwonthe · 17/01/2021 11:34

He won't give me his price list for example.

Well I bet he isn’t paying tax!

Lovemusic33 · 17/01/2021 11:34

I don’t think there’s much call for male prostitutes, mainly because a lot of men are happy to do it for free.

You could join a swingers club/group (maybe after lockdown) or online dating sites and sex sites such as fab swingers or even Tinder. It’s pretty easy for a woman to find ‘no strings attached sex’. I do think finding someone who is good at it isn’t easy, many men believe they are the best when actually they are not. I don’t believe there has to be a romantic connection for it to be good but I feel it’s hard not to develop feeling for someone if they are really good in bed.

I don’t think there’s such thing as an expert, we all like different things but there are men that are more giving in bed, ones that seem to understand what women like more than others but they are hard to come by.

tttigress · 17/01/2021 11:34

I don't think many females have.

Maybe one scenario is a male is hired as a companion, and then that leads to sex.

LabCoatPocket · 17/01/2021 11:35

Having said that, I also, in a professional sense, worked with very vulnerable male sex workers, who were coerced, or doing it to feed substance addiction. These were usually, very young (16-24 years), and usually, used by other males.

That is an awful, ugly world, miles away from what my friend does. There are wonderful organisations trying to work with these young men, to support them to get away.

CutToChase · 17/01/2021 11:35

In fairness I would assume a male prostitute would be "cleaner" than a random man in terms of making sure he is always protected and also in terms of hygiene - both those things are crucial to his work so in that sense they would probably be a safer bet.

But like many women on here I would find it difficult to use their services because my arousal would kind of be dependent on the whole build up, knowing they fancy me, etc. Which is why I could probably only ever imagine hiring one if I wanted to try out some role play, so organise to meet them in a bar and act out a fantasy or something.

IcedPurple · 17/01/2021 11:36
@formerbabe considering men account for 25% of human trafficking victims I would say you are wrong. Very wrong. www.apa.org/monitor/2017/04/sex-trafficking
But they aren't trafficked in order to have sex with women, are they?

The vast majority of 'clients' of male prostitutes are also male.

Willheorwonthe · 17/01/2021 11:36

They’re paid to perform a function.

We’re all paid to perform a function. I don’t enjoy my job and don’t do it out of choice. I have no choice. It’s boring and stressful and I spend most days wishing I was doing something else.

PlanDeRaccordement · 17/01/2021 11:38

@IcedPurple
If 25% are trafficked, there’s still a 1 in 4 chance that a woman using a male prostitute will be using one that has been trafficked. There’s no way to be an ethical consumer of sex as a buyer.

Rollmopsrule · 17/01/2021 11:39

Op isn't asking what your opinions are on the subject or why you think it wouldn't work for you - shes looking for experiences.

Sorry Op I can't offer any experience but I totally understand why some women would look at it as an option. I agree with another poster that its a better bet than picking up some random on Tinder or at a bar.

PlanDeRaccordement · 17/01/2021 11:41

women who pay men for sex are rapists?

I would say so because you cannot buy consent. Whether you are a man or a woman, you cannot buy consent for sex. It’s why I’m against prostitution of women and men.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 11:42

No you don't know that. But on the extremely rare occasions when it's women paying men, particularly to be an escort as well, it's more likely to be a choice.

I totally agree with that. I'm against prostituion in all its form.

None of which changes the fact that the number of women using male prostitutes is tiny. The overwhelming majority of their 'clientele' is male. So no, men aren't being traficked to serve the sexual 'needs' of women.

TheChampagneGalop · 17/01/2021 11:44

Women can get sex for free with random men, sure. But it's a safety risk and many men are selfish and bad in bed. It's the same selfishness that makes men buy women. Women tend to stick to sex toys instead of treating people as products. If only men as a group dide the same.

Opheliaa · 17/01/2021 11:46

i would say so because you cannot buy consent. Whether you are a man or a woman, you cannot buy consent for sex. It’s why I’m against prostitution of women and men

That's quite narrow view. For people who are being forced then consent is clearly not given, although it might look to appear to be so if someone has submitted to have sex. But no, that wouldn't be consent. But if someone has decided to sell sex, and does so, then of course they are consenting. The same as any other job. They are consenting to do work, which they may or may not enjoy, in order to be paid.

PlanDeRaccordement · 17/01/2021 11:47

@IcedPurple
I completely agree that the number of women using male prostitutes is tiny compared to the number of men using male prostitutes. But just because women make up a small part of the demand for sex, doesn’t mean they are not complicit in or part of the cause of trafficking of men for sex.
It’s similar to arguing that because the number of aristocratic women buying a few hundred black boys as slave page boys is vanishingly small compared to the millions of black slaves shipped to work on sugar plantations, that blacks aren’t being enslaved to serve women. It’s just a weak argument. No matter how small the contribution to human trafficking, it is still there and these women are still bear responsibility for it continuing by the very act of being buying consumers.

Tinder is just a load of horny randomers. OP is talking about paying a professional. Would love to read an AMA from a male prostitute!
Male prostitutes by and large have gay men as their clients
as said women don't need to pay for sex, there are plenty of men who are interested in no strings sex

IcedPurple · 17/01/2021 11:50

Are the tiny number of male prostitutes used by women likely to be among those traficked though?

Of course anyone who uses the 'services' of a traficked person is in the wrong, be they male or female. But let's not pretend it's women driving the trade in sex traficking of males.

Emeraldshamrock · 17/01/2021 11:50

No I haven't.
I'd imagine in the male sex industry lots of bookings are for a dinner date or companionship before the sex if he is a good date he'll probably be satisfying in bed too.

june2007 · 17/01/2021 11:52

I thought of the Gambia as well.

Yes, it is a narrow view. I admit that. But it is the ethical and moral line I personally draw. I do not believe that selling sex is “the same as any other job” nor is prostitution “consenting to do work”.
Bagamoyo1 · 17/01/2021 11:53

Aside from all the issues already mentioned, there’d be no guarantee you’d get “good sex”.
I had a boyfriend years ago who was reasonably good looking, and had an enormous penis. But he knew it, and was pretty crap in bed as a result - just assumed his size removed any need for effort! He said he’d considered being an escort, because he thought he’d be popular due to being well endowed. Any woman paying would have been disappointed.
