To have found Harry&Meghans NY podcast quite uplifting

(And it was v cute to hear Archie speaking also)

Just that really. Yes there was some cheesy bits with some speaker talk of “nourishment” (cringe) by reading children’s books, but most of it was good and positive. Nice mix of contributors. Well done Harry & Meghan.

Hal can be as passionate as he likes.

It is all very well being passionate about the unfairness of privilege when you can afford to wipe your harris with gold leaf.

UsedUpUsername · 01/01/2021 21:25

Gawd she should have some compassion for own family. And now PH is treating his family like MM treats hers. What phonies.

JanBanjoVi · 01/01/2021 21:33

It's easy to show compassion to people who "get us" or with whom we feel an affinity.

I'm great at being compassionate to my friends. Less so to my in laws who don't think I'm so great!

An inspirational person to me is the Dalai Lama. Not daft Harry I'm afraid.

Eaumyword · 01/01/2021 21:59

@SheldonesqueIsUnwell

I’m all for changing the world one act of compassion at a time.

They can start with her dad.

Happy to join in after that.

This.
Pancakeorcrepe · 01/01/2021 22:07

@FutureDuchessofHastings yes! That is what they have on the Archewell website. You couldn’t make it up 😂😂😂 it is just cringe and embarrassing

FutureDuchessofHastings · 01/01/2021 22:34

@Pancakeorcrepe good grief. It's worse than I ever imagined

^^ this is remarkably insightful

Thewinterofdiscontent · 01/01/2021 22:50

really can't help responding to this:

1) You imagine she doesn't care if she's spoken about positively/negatively, but she's been on a documentary saying how badly it's affected her. She's been on a podcast with young people and told them how much it affected her. I bet you know about both of these examples, but still choose to believe "she doesn't care". Just shows, she could shout about it on the rooftops and still be ignored by people like you.

But it’s actions not words that count. Why is she now choosing a career in pontificating to the public that she knows people will comment on, rather than say, go back to acting? Clearly in realities millions from Netflix is worth getting grief from nobodies who she’ll never met ( and wouldn't be rude to face anyway)

Boris Johnson is constantly slagged off in the worse possible way. His personality , his looks, what a crap job he’s doing, everything. He just carries on doing what he’s paid for. It comes with being Prime Minister.
Even on here for example you yourself have been patronising and dismissive of other people views, but it’s sort of expected because you are trying to argue your point and that’s often what happens. If others don’t want disagreements they don’t join in with threads. If Meghan wants a quiet life she could have it like plenty of other well known but relative discrete celebs.

Thewinterofdiscontent · 01/01/2021 23:05

We invite you to join us.

As we work to build a better world,

Who put them in charge of a better world?
I know loads of people who make a positive contribution to the world and the environment and with bugger all money. They’ve organised Free Shops, run animal rescues, picked litter, helped the homeless practically. etc etc. They certainly don’t need an invite from Megs and Harry.

CallmeAngelina · 01/01/2021 23:10

Blimey.
Seems like I made a good call not to listen to the podcast if that's they shit that was spouted.

ovlovo · 01/01/2021 23:13

If only they had shown some compassion for the poor people accidentally reading that statement above. Grin

Proudboomer · 01/01/2021 23:15

They have nothing of any relevance to offer.
Harry’s main contribution to anything seems to be. “My mummy died”
Well guess what Harry thousands of 12 year olds lose a parent and they don’t have the privilege of wealth to cushion them.

Dowser · 01/01/2021 23:24

I can’t believe anyone listens to their stupid shit.lthey are freeloaders who had the best gig in town.
They only had to turn up , smile, shake a few hands and they had the world at their feet.
Sadly for little miss yacht girl
That was not enough and she thought she deserved a bigger slice of the pie.

CallmeAngelina · 01/01/2021 23:25

I wonder what Harry's old mates from school and the army make of him now. Would they even recognise him?

mymadpuppy · 01/01/2021 23:57

None of the royal family are known for any superior intelligence. Nor have any made any special achievements, yet they're revered as if they have.

BluePeterVag · 02/01/2021 02:31

“ I am my mother’s son.

And I am our son’s mother.

Together we bring you Archewell.

We believe in the best of humanity.

Because we have seen the best of humanity.

We have experienced compassion and kindness,

From our mothers and strangers alike.

In the face of fear, struggle and pain,

It can be easy to lose sight of this.

Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection.

Together, we can choose to put compassion in action.

We invite you to join us.

As we work to build a better world,

One act of compassion at a time.“

PARKLIFE!

Proudboomer · 02/01/2021 02:41

Still doesn’t say what archwell is actually going to be doing.
Building a better world isn’t going to come about via a podcast with Elton John whilst he tells us how shit 2020 has been.

StartupRepair · 02/01/2021 05:29

I too am my son's mother.

ConiferGate · 02/01/2021 06:05

Good god how nauseating. Imagine what W&K must think everytime they have to listen to this insufferable twaddle.

custardbear · 02/01/2021 06:09

@ConiferGate - a lot of eye rolling and laughter I'd expect, albeit I suspect Wills is mighty pissed off with them for using their royal name for nonsexual prostitution

CallmeAngelina · 02/01/2021 09:12

Not exactly ' SMART' objectives, are they?
When we teachers devise learning targets for pupils, they have to be achievable and measurable, and outline exactly what and how we will go about them.
Heck, even my 8 year olds know that, when they're doing their own targets.

lidoshuffle · 02/01/2021 09:23

“I am my mother’s son.

And I am our son’s mother."

That's a bit of a kick in the teeth for Prince Charles and Thomas Markle (who I think actually brought MM up?).

CallmeAngelina · 02/01/2021 09:28

It's also a direct and blatant attempt to pull on people's heart-strings by mentioning Diana. I don't see what the references to mothers have to do with any of that nonsense anyway.

cherrypie790 · 02/01/2021 09:31

And where was the mention of Charles in all of their pontificating - considering he's the one paying for them. There is no actual evidence of their income yet from Netflix or Spotify.........

Such awful hypocrisy. They literally have no shame.
