Jesus wept, William and George are future heirs to the throne. It's perfectly acceptable that they've moved out of the capital and decamped to rural Norfolk. Far safer healthwise, and given they have a huge private estate, they're hardly spreading their London germs around the locals .

Hmm I always think of Anmer as the DoCs home. Kensington is where they stay when they come into London for Work. They happen to work more during term time so send the kids to a school closest to their office.

Rather than Anmer being a weekend retreat.

Who cares. They’re going to be on their huge private estate, not walking around the local Asda coughing their London germs on people!

I bet the people getting so het up would escape to their country homes for Christmas if they had one.

Err sorry and all tat for chipping in my two pennath but I have to say HRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have done far more than could or should have been reasonably expected during thiis pandemic.They have been brilliant in keeping up the countries moral as many Royal watchers could testify.They have done so much work on Zoom and Teams from issues like mental health,family problems.isolation and lonliness ,by visiting charities to boost moral to helping in foodbanks non of which was expected or demanded they just quietly got on with it and I know many people were grateful . The train ride was in effect work which they willingly carried out. Give these kids a break they are only human and have done alot more for this country than people who are very brave sat behind a laptop who wouldnt know how to find a foodbank let alone help out........this nastiness of people snipping and being mean on here lately with anything to do with any aspect of the world we are living in at present is just deplorable and so unhelpful.......Pulling together? Yeah right.....

Anmer is a second home - however much anyone tries to pretend that they send their children to school in London, because they 'work' there.

I am surprised that they couldn't find a little private school in Norfolk that their children could go to.

I seem to remember that they weren’t allowed. George went to nursery school in Norfolk, but they were made to relocate to London when he started school.

I don’t get the hatred. They’re just people. They haven’t actually broken any rules or done anything wrong. So, why is this even being discussed?

Why is it being discussed? Because they are in a position to set an example and being seen to do so would be good, and it looks very much as though they are not doing so.
