I’ve bought my mum a Dyson handheld & I’m so excited to give it to her! She struggles with the stairs now, so it’ll be great.

Have you got something you’re looking forward to gifting?

Sorry! 😂

I got my sister an Oodie, she's one of those people who has the heating on constantly and is ALWAYS cold, it's huge on me (5'10 and size 20) so will drown her (5'2 and a size 12).

UsernameSpoosername · 13/12/2020 21:19

@flaviaritt 😂😂😂

@slashlover I had to google an Oodie. I would live & die in that!

Very excited to see my 4 year old open her presents. Not one particular one, there's couple there that I'm sure she'll love and her eyes will just light up!

I'm getting one for myself in January, it's SO comfortable. I'm going to tell myself I'll use it when I'm studying. Grin

UsernameSpoosername · 13/12/2020 21:25

@Winter2019 I have a 3 year old DD. Great age!

I hope your Mum is excited to receive a vacuum cleaner for Xmas. I wouldn't be.

UsernameSpoosername · 13/12/2020 21:27

@saveforthat I hope you’re not my mum Grin

Saveforthat, don't worry - with an attitude like that I think you're on the naughty list.

mommybear1 · 13/12/2020 21:30

Same as Winter my 3yo DS is finally understanding Christmas and I'm actually getting excited about Christmas for the first time in years seeing it through his eyes.

Crochetqueen1212 · 13/12/2020 21:31

I got my parents a camera to record the dog on the rare occasion neither are in. She comes petty much wherever we go (im both their carer) but for when she cant it would be fun to see what she gets up to!

And for my son, he has been asking for a metal detector for ages, he is 5, such a random gift but cant wait to see his face and go exploring for this treaure he is so sure we will find Grin

ChristmasCookies · 13/12/2020 21:32

@saveforthat

Not very nice

ChristmasCookies · 13/12/2020 21:33

Looking forward to my partner opening his presents.

I will watch niece / nephew via video call 🥺

LEELULUMPKIN · 13/12/2020 21:34

@Crochetqueen1212 Can you adopt me please?

I asked Father Christmas every single year for a metal detector but he obviously never got my letter.

I am 50 now and still think about it...................

myhobbyisouting · 13/12/2020 21:35

My mum has given me the money to buy and wrap all of our presents from her this year Grin

I'm very excited to allow DP to open the Roomba she has bought us. I'm the only one who knows what we've got 😂

AlwaysLatte · 13/12/2020 21:36

Ah that's a thoughtful present. I'm sure she'll love it. I've bought my mum 4 jigsaws (she's really into them since she became housebound due to illness) and a hifi player that will play her old tapes. And if I'm not too late I want to make her a photo book of the pictures I took on her 80th birthday holiday surprise.

devildeepbluesea · 13/12/2020 21:36

I can't wait to give my BIL his t-shirt with a quote from a Plaid Cymru politician which goes something like..."I can't wait til we're independent and we don't have to deal with this crap any more"

CakeRequired · 13/12/2020 21:38

I'm looking forward to giving my partner a smart pillow that will play music or videos through the headphones inside it, so he doesn't have to lie down with headphones on and being uncomfortable. Of course this now means I have to fall asleep listening to whatever he is watching, but I'm a pretty deep sleeper, I doubt it will take long to adapt. Smile

Looking forward to giving my mum a picture with all her favourite pets, past and present on it as well. Smile

JanetSnakeholeMacklin · 13/12/2020 21:39

My mum would absolutely love a cordless vacuum for Christmas OP. She's that kind of person. We can't all be like you @saveforthat Confused

I'm most looking forward to giving the kids their presents. We got them both dirt/off road scooters and neither are expecting them - then on Xmas day we are going to go to some trails so they can test them out and work up their appetite for Xmas dinner! Ds2 had just started going to the skate park before the pandemic and Ds1 always moans that his commuter scooter is no good for the woods, so I hope they'll be pleased.

ilovehalloumi · 13/12/2020 21:40

Me and DD have been in a bubble with another single parent family since May, I have commissioned a gorgeous portrait of all of us which I am so excited to give to the mum of the other family. It even has both our dogs on 😍

Hotcuppatea · 13/12/2020 21:43

I used a company called Simpsonify Me to do a family portrait of us all (including the dogs) on the Simpsons sofa. I'm so excited to give it!
