My winter coat is a hi-viz helly hansen, my partner hates it and thinks I look like a bin man or a street sweeper. I like it, so I wear it.

I was once given a coat I loved in a bag of hand me downs from a friend. I put it on and my husband said it reminded him of a pirate (it was sort of knee length and flared out slightly) I could never bring myself to wear it after that, it went in the charity bag!

It isn't bad, but a bit old fashioned. I think it's the colour and the collar. It's not something I would wear myself but you should wear it if you like it and ignore him.

I also meant to say that's only because my Nan has a boucle coat similar and she's 90 so that maybe clouding my opinion
