I'm not interested in cookery/baking programmes, so haven't seen him on there, but I find Tom very funny. At first, he did seem to have 'being gay' as his main joke, but now he's gained more confidence, he's branched out a lot. Don't they always tell comedians who are starting out to focus on what they know and their own lives first, to find their feet?
I also thought he was great on The Apprentice. They could do with him replacing Evan Davies on Dragon's Den - Evan is so boring and just repeats what's been said, with the odd cliche thrown in, but with no humour or interest added at all.
Larry Dean is another who can be extremely funny, but he really does seem to obsess about being gay - and often the physical mechanics of it - in every joke; worse, he always tried to spring it on the audience and wait for.... I don't know: laughter, shock, applause?!?!
Angela Barnes can be genuinely funny, but she just seems so angry all the time and is obsessed with genitals and the mechanics of sex.
Ed Gamble is brilliant too, except when he tries a little too hard at a pun and keeps mentioning that he has type 1 diabetes at every single opportunity (so do I).
Milton Jones is always amazing value for money - he doesn't so much do comedy as embody comedy!
Mrs Brown's Boys is vexatious to humanity.
