His jokes are just all one really - camp. AND he's on extra slice now, so I cant watch that lol. Just watched Mock the Week one of my favs, and nearly turned it off cos of him. Am I alone...??!!

Tom Allen has a book out atm and when that happens, the ‘author’ is always all over tv.

Jo Brand is perfectly capable of holding Extra Slice on her own and his segment isn’t needed, especially this year. I agree that he is one dimensional and his only long running joke is about being gay.

I think it’s a cyclical thing. One person seems to be everywhere for a while - Josh Widdecombe springs to mind.
Every time I turned the telly on a couple of years ago, it seemed to be the JW show.

I like him. He's very quick witted. I like Jo Brand as well. The person on Extra Slice who disappointed me recently was Kathy Burke. She seemed determined to bring politics into a show about baking. And usually I think she's hilarious.

Incidentally, for the poster who said Jo Brand doesn't find him funny, exactly the opposite is true. She was on a podcast I was listening to recently, Out to Lunch with Jay Rayner, and she specifically said how much she enjoys working with him and his contribution to the show.

I really like him, I went to one of his stand up shows a few years ago and he was brilliant, I have been to a few of the ‘big’ comedians shows and his is by far the best one, with Ali Wong a close second.

I love Tom Allen but can't stand Sarah Millican's voice and don't find Rosie Jones funny. I really like Sarah Pascoe though.
