His jokes are just all one really - camp. AND he's on extra slice now, so I cant watch that lol. Just watched Mock the Week one of my favs, and nearly turned it off cos of him. Am I alone...??!!

He's on Johnathan Ross now. I agree OP, he's crap and very irritating

I agree coffeelover.He gets on my wick, it's all about him and I know he's supposed to be joking on Bakeoff when he shoves the whisk in their faces when interviewing the guests but If it was me i would want to wrap the damn thing round his neck 😃

Tom Allen is okay in small doses, but he does seem to be on too many programmes, repeating a limited repertoire this year.
I really do not think Rosie Jones is funny at all though, and she keeps popping up - especially on The Last Leg. Nor Angie Barnes (I think her name is) who keeps appearing on Mock the Week.

Comedians do tend to fall into that 'marmite' thing of what one person finds funny, another can't stand. Some also are far better at a scripted stand up routine and struggle more with an ad-lib, whereas there are other genuinely funny people, that aren't necessarily great story tellers.

I think he treads the wrong side of the line between funny and mean with the audience in extra slice. There's gentle mocking, and there's nastiness. He's tipped into nastiness too many times.

I also try to imagine living with someone who talks like that. Do they actually talk in that strained, awful voice the whole damn day? Like "good mmorrrrning, oh, and HOW did you Sleeeep? Hmmm? Like this? Like THIS with your HEAD on the PILLOW? How DULL."...

I think the same about the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives chap. Surely he doesn't always talk in that shouty voice?!

He wasn’t/isn’t needed on Extra Slice. Jo Brand is a great host for that show and it is massively annoying that some producers decided she needed a Male ‘co-presenter’. He takes up huge chunks of the show now.
He is occasionally funny (even a stopped clock is right twice a day!) but his schtick is repetitive and unoriginal.

Another Tom fan here. I love him and think he's added a lot to Extra Slice! I love how he manages to be incredibly rude to the studio audience members yet somehow stays on their good side

I'm fond of Tom Allen because of Bleak Expectations. (And I think Mrs Brown's Boys is a pile of wank.)

He ruins bake off extra slice and the professionals as well as the apprentice: you're fired. His voice is so whiny and he is nasty to people. No need for it.

I used to find him really annoying but I've warmed to him and find him funny on an Extra Slice.

I agree with those who find Rosie Jones very unfunny. I saw Nish Kumar live last year and she was the support act. She was terrible. I hate it when she's on The Last Leg.

I am Romesh Ranganathan's biggest fan, I watch everything he's in but OH can't bear him. I guess it's quite hard to be universally liked if you're a comedian as it's a quite a personal thing.

I stopped watching Extra Slice because of him. Agree with a PP that's he's often just mean to the audience without cause or being funny. I'd rather have more Jo Brand.

He's lovely. His live act is amazing and he hangs around for selfies with fans afterwards. A genuinely lovely person.

I don’t mind him on the Extra Slice but found him v annoying on You’re Fired because I am a massive Apprentice fan and really want to know juicier bits about the contestants and what happened on the task which he fails to give. Sometimes I wondered if he even watched the show. It isn’t the kind of show where there is space for him to make silly sketches up about himself.
