Ever just order a curry on a Friday night, or get shitfaced together and have wild sex? Do they clean their children's vomit or does the help do that? Do they ever just slob around the house all day like slobs? Do they ever shout at their children? Do they ever swear?

So many questions! I just can't picture them being normal people.

@PrincessNutNut, true...there are some items I wouldn't want my servants finding Grin.

I'm sure we'd improvise if needs be.

I know of a duke who sends his butler out to buy him a McDonalds every so often Grin

@AlternativePerspective I wasn't meaning this to be a "vile thread" I'm just genuinely curious what their days are like, like do they ever just switch off? I'm sure they do, but I just can't imagine it. I like William and Kate so not slagging them off in the slightest.

I’ve got lots of friends with nannies but all chip in and clean up vomit if the child doesn’t it whilst with them. Surely most parents do?

PrincessNutNut · 18/11/2020 14:32

I have no idea since I don't know any of them, but I'd have thought that given what happened with their parents, both William and Harry would have been wary of marrying someone purely because she was young, pretty, well-born, relatively biddable and would look good in all the photos.

SpaceOp · 18/11/2020 14:34

I've never really understood this idea that because they're rich and privileged they don't do the same sort of things as the rest of us. They do have nannies as we all know, but there's never been any sense I've seen that they outsource their child rearing responsibilities or that they aren't interested in their children. I imagine the vomit thing is the same for anyone else with a nanny - if it happens at 5pm while Nanny is on duty, nanny cleans it up but if it happens at 2am it's Kate or William?

I've also seen them say that they get takeaways but have to have them collected rather than delivered. Which also makes sense from a security perspective.

I suspect that while William would b e quite happy to never cook a meal or whatever that Kate does cook. With the fabulous added benefit that she doesn't have to do it all the time or can choose to make something she likes knowing that the nanny can whip up sausages and mash for the kids and william.

If she cleans the toilets and does the vacuuming I'd be very disappointed as quite frankly, why would you do that when you don't have to. If I win the lottery I'll definitely have a team of cleaners in my new house twice a week for a few hours so I don't have to do any of the (and a robot vacuum on every floor!)

Aragog · 18/11/2020 14:34

On some chat thing he did with some sports people ( can't remember who they were, celeb types) they had a curry takeaway and PW talked about enjoying an Indian takeaway on occasions, so I assume they are able to do so.

Just like I remember seeing the Obamas on some chat show taking about getting pizzas delivered to the White House.

I am sure they probably have a limited range to choose from which have been checked for such times.

Yes nasty thread
ohdearmymistake · 18/11/2020 14:36

I'm sure that William and Kate were very normal while living in Anglesey before they married, so why wouldn't they continue to be normal now.

They had a second kitchen put in their homes so that they can have normal family time leaving the other kitchen for the staff to do their job if they have to entertain as part of being D of C.

MrsToothyBitch · 18/11/2020 14:37

I reckon they pitch in. They probably have "easy" food nights, even if a takeaway is out of the question. They seem to try to be as normal as possible, and I'm sure that extends to the bedroom (although I bet she can't just order a rampant rabbit or some restraints direct to KP, I reckon Pippa buys all that for her).

I certainly hope they have some semblance of family life. And Harry & Meghan, too.

Dashel · 18/11/2020 14:37

I can imagine them having a Netflix and chill afternoon with their kids and snacks. I don’t see them doing anything that they would worry would end up unfavourably in the press so getting very drunk or sex toys might not be included in that but I hope that they have a normalish and happy life

nosswith · 18/11/2020 14:39

Let them lead their life in peace. If I had to guess, it is probably quite normal for a couple with a young family, other than the location and size of where they live.

Dongdingdong · 18/11/2020 14:40

Why would Kate cook a meal for herself whilst leaving William to eat sausages and mash with the kids cooked by the nanny? That's just bizarre! Grin

There's an entire industry devoted to speculating and writing on the Royal Family in the tabloid media and has been for decades.

By the standards of what's been published here this is incredibly mild and harmless.

Also why should they be protected from scrutiny because they're royal?

waltzingparrot · 18/11/2020 14:41

The international papers have examined PW's behaviour in some detail

LunaLoveFood · 18/11/2020 14:43

We live not far from Highgrove and it has been known that Prince Charles has stopped off at a local Indian takeaway on the way back from an engagement and got his aide to jump out the car and pick it up for him. When younger both Harry and William were regulars at the pub and takeaway.

Stinkerbells · 18/11/2020 14:43

Aww I like Kate and William, expect they probably do.

Maybe not the vomit if they can help it but who wouldn’t? Can handle baby mess but anything adult or pooch related is usually dealt with Hubby 🙈 (I’m very grateful for that).

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 18/11/2020 14:44

Do you think they go to the toilet like we do or is there a special royal method that they have? Hmm

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 18/11/2020 14:44

It does make me laugh when privileged/ rich and famous people say they are never getting a nanny and are going to do all the night feeds themselves haha why not ?! 4 months in with a non sleeping baby I would have let Satan himself do the night shift with ds!

kifomadertonasomc · 18/11/2020 14:45

They may not "get shitfaced and have wild sex", as I'm sure many non-royal people don't do that. They probably do get curry, why wouldn't they? Just that somebody else would sort out getting it for them probably.

Thedogshow · 18/11/2020 14:45

I would imagine that yes they get takeaways and get drunk, but not very often, because Kate is clearly very controlled with what she eats and drinks to stay so thin.
And probably sometimes they get up at 5am, but honestly if I had a nanny to do it I would definitely not get up with the kids at 5! It’s not exactly precious time, I just wish I was still in bed when they get up that early.
Imagine that in lots of ways they are really normal humans & parents and in other ways it’s a completely bizarre life. I’m sure there must be lots of perks and also lots of downsides. At the end of the day most people want more than anything to be free, and they are not really. But obviously an awful lot of privilege too.

They are just people. They shit, they fart and they have their heart broken.

They spend time in pods every day with feeding and excreting tubes so they don't have to do anything unpleasant or common like eat, drink or go to the toilet. Prince Andrew is an example of what happens if you get the tubes mixed up.
