Interesting webinar being hosted by Hope Not Hate tomorrow, if anyone's interested. I'll try to watch it.

Tomorrow evening (Weds 18th at 8pm) we're hosting an event with senior digital staffers from Joe Biden's campaign team about the disinformation they faced during the election, and what they did to tackle it. HOPE not hate's Afrida Chowdhury and Joe Mulhall will be talking to Rob Flaherty (Digital Director, Biden for President), Becca Rinkevich (Director of Digital Rapid Response, Biden for President) and Timothy Durigan (Data Security Analyst, DNC).

I think the Trump himself is almost a side issue now.

The real aim is disruption. That's an aim of the far right and of Russia, and probably quite a few others actors who're finding this all very convenient.

The Satsuma Squatter is getting amplified because his chaos is useful and the election provides yet another theme for conspiracy theories. He'll be out soon, but the disinformation war will continue. I suspect Covid and QAnon disinformation will become the new most dangerous fronts (if they're not already).

The one legal "win" so far for Trump campaign (re distance poll watchers can be from ballot counters) has been overturned by Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Dolly Parton is good people. She has done so much for the people in the area she grew up in (Pidgeon Forge/Sevierville TN) and she doesn't 'trump'et about it.

I do love Dolly Parton and her self-deprecating sense of humour, and her children's library, and her music.

Not a fan of her music but she comes across as a genuine and good person.
