Making myself ill

Whattheactual2020 · 07/11/2020 11:16

Please can someone help?
I’ve worked myself up into a frenzy these last couple of weeks, worrying about the future and the great reset etc and what’s actually going on. I’m so worried for my daughters future and can’t stop thinking/worrying about it all 😢

worrying about the future and the great reset etc

The great reset? WTF is that all about?

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 07/11/2020 12:55

I can’t believe people actually believe in this drivel.

“At the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF), we engage with business executives, experts, and policymakers to help make Change that Matters. In 2021, the event will focus on the Great Reset, and key topics will include climate change, sustainability, social justice, and the pandemic.”

AlCalavicci · 07/11/2020 12:58

@Hiddennameforever
Can you explain what you think a blood brain barrier is and how putting a sterile swab up your nose can damage thus?
Have you never picked your own nose/ had a nose bleed or broken your nose ( ok not every one has broken theirs but lots have and are not controlled by the gov )

PhilCornwall1 · 07/11/2020 12:59

In other words, it's focussing on all the "fluffy" bollocks then.

Ihaveyourback · 07/11/2020 12:59

The great reset sounds like a positive thing to me - climate change and what we can do about it, equitable food and all the rest.

Why is it making you ill?

TopBitchoftheWitches · 07/11/2020 13:02

Op, grow up. Hth.

Ginnymweasley · 07/11/2020 13:03

Stop reading bollocks instead read something lighthearted. I'm currently reading the book version of a hallmark xmas film. I really don't understand the idea that every country in the world would agree on anything tbh.
As for the brain barrier thing, you should look at a diagram of your skull to see how that is nonsense.

Hiddennameforever · 07/11/2020 13:03

@Lifeisabeach09
I don’t know anything.
Just what I read.
I read lots of stories of people complaining about bad pain days after the test.
I got no idea.
I used go to nose swabs as a child as I had loads of various bacteria iinside, so I remember those swans were ok, nothing bad and I was a child! I thought if the the tool goes into the nose all it will reach our sinuses and no brain etc.
But I’m not a doctor.. I got no idea where they shove it..

Hiddennameforever · 07/11/2020 13:06

@AlCalavicci
This is what makes me confused.
I had numerous nose swabs as a child and it went all ok. I thought all it can can reach is the end of the nose or sinuses.
But reading all these scary stories makes me doubt my logical thinking.

Whattheactual2020 · 07/11/2020 13:06

@Hiddennameforever God no, nothing like that 🤷🏻‍♀️That I completely know in my mind is bull. But there’s real discussions taking place, The great reset is a real thing, Talk radio covers this daily recently, Charles Walkers speech seemed completely genuine to me.
All the laws that have been passed through, the government’s dealing with of all of this, wrong figures etc and ridiculous as it may sound, just a feeling in my gut that’s so strong.

@Bluntness100 Perhaps I do need to see a doctor? I’ve always been fairly easily swayed but also very realistic, I feel like anxiety has taken over here, I’m just feeling very scared and want someone to say (and know for sure) that it’s all crap and all will be okay. It’s more for my daughters future than mine, I’ve had a fantastic life in general, our generation has been lucky thus far.

You need to rationalise your apocalyptic thoughts frankly.

You survived the first lockdown didn’t you? And life after the first one (particularly in summer before masks were mandatory!) wasn’t that different? Why would the aftermath of this lockdown be significantly different then?

For the most part society WANTS to go back to normal and are sick of all this, so your conspiracy theories won’t come to fruition.

throwaway10000 · 07/11/2020 13:08

You definitely need to speak to your GP.

Your anxieties seem to go above and beyond the norm (with the pandemic considered)

Whattheactual2020 · 07/11/2020 13:08

@Ginnymweasley it’s not me that says about the nose thing @Hiddennameforever with all due respect, please don’t derail this thread as people are believing I’m saying about testing etc which no matter how I’m feeling, I know for a fact is bollocks!

@throwaway10000 Just to be clear, I’m
not talking about the nose thing 🙄that’s another poster.
Are my other concerns that crazy? I know lots of people and am seeing lots of people thinking similar 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rest easy, Hidden. I swab myself (and others) regularly-no obvious brain damage yet. Grin

Hiddennameforever · 07/11/2020 13:15

@Whattheactual2020 I’m not derailing anything.
I simply thought you are talking about the same thing I read yesterday.
Sorry to reply to your thread.

Sarahlou63 · 07/11/2020 13:19

The great reset looks like a brilliant idea!

www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/06/now-is-the-time-for-a-great-reset/

What it is about it that worries you, OP?

throwaway10000 · 07/11/2020 13:21

I’m not sure what the nose thing is

To be fair to you, there have been a lot of conspiracy theorists crawling out of the woodwork with this pandemic. I suppose it’s ultimately borne out of fear, but it doesn’t mean your/their theories are rational.

Like with the whole 5G thing, they burnt towers down yet there was zero impact on the COVID pandemic - and therefore the towers had zero correlation to their rhetoric

BigBadVoodooHat · 07/11/2020 13:23

@Whattheactual2020

The great reset/fourth industrial revolution is no conspiracy theory though 🤷🏻‍♀️
Ah, this is some blatant troll shit, is it? Hmm
CrocodilesCry · 07/11/2020 13:24

Conspiracy theorists are mentally ill or not very bright, or both.

Whattheactual2020 · 07/11/2020 13:26

@Hiddennameforever It’s ok, sorry, I just don’t want the two things to become confused. I haven’t read what you are saying.

The great reset in itself sounds ok, but I suppose it’s all the other talk surrounding it all, had it been just the usual crap on YouTube etc, it wouldn’t be an issue, but many people are now starting to question things-why another lockdown when figures aren’t as high to justify, why are laws being moved in that threaten our freedoms possibly, it’s being discussed on talk radio everyday with what I’d class as pretty normal people, the Charles Walker speech and his views did resonate with me. The way the great reset (or whatever it’s called) is coming now at this very time, but most of all a strange feeling I’ve had from around 3 weeks after all this began.

It’s reassuring that by the sounds of it I’m taking it all the wrong way, but also worrying that my head has gone to this place 🙈but why have so so many others too? Are we all crackers

OP posts:
DameFanny · 07/11/2020 13:28
@Whattheactual2020 I’m worrying too.
Someone posted yesterday some similar great reset but to read, it made physical sick.
It said something about that the testing damages our blood brain barrier inside our nose and we will all get ill from this and this will reset our memory to forget how lovely life was pre COVID.
It made sick just to reading it.
I deleted it immediately after but the bad taste stayed.
Don't worry, this is complete and utter bollocks

There's is no blood brain barrier in your nose - that's not even plausible anatomically

And memory doesn't work like that

'the great reset' is a ridiculous Qanon conspiracy theory that doesn't add up in any way shape or form.

There's also been talk in other areas about using these weird times as a positive reset - could we come out of this with less dependence on cars, could we rebuild or economy for the benefit of people rather than corporations, could we re energise the economy by investing in green technologies and enterprises - that sort of thing.

But the Great Reset is nothing but a conspiracy theory that relies on people not noticing that none of it hangs together or makes any sense at all

Whattheactual2020 · 07/11/2020 13:29

@throwaway10000 But with 5G etc, it could be seen that it was a ridiculous conspiracy theory, all the recent talk as I’ve said is by normal people starting to question things.

I’m not a troll and not trying to cause crap, I wanted to reach out really as I’m finding I’m becoming really overly worried by it all and wanted to get some perspective, thanks so much for all those who have replied kindly.
I prefer thinking my mind has gone a little off than these things becoming true.
