Maybe Trump is organizing his proposed move to Scotland? Careful what you wish for folks.... he'll soon be referring to his Good Friend Nicolahh if he loses Grin.

Oscarsdaddy · 05/11/2020 18:01

@Ineke

Indeed he is, totally insane

No wonder he wanted to meet North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un so much, I think Trump wanted to see what he was like personally do he could go one step further

How can this man possibly be the most important man in the World?

Right, Nicola - crack open the Glenfiddich and get the haggis on the boil! Grin

Look if Trump doesn’t win he doesn’t get a free pass to the Supreme Court- it has to be legal!!

Thewithesarehere · 05/11/2020 18:09

I am on the edge with the wait! Come on US!

midmodmad · 05/11/2020 18:10

I've NEVER been more interested in the outcome of an election than now...

To ask if Biden has definitely won?
Janus · 05/11/2020 18:10

@Helen1990 Good old Boris has pinned all Brexit hopes on all his meetings with Trump. Boris has to start over again with a completely different personality who won’t be doing the deals Trump was preparing to do.

winniestone37 · 05/11/2020 18:11

@LioneIRichTea than I hate to say it but you live under a rock. The saying is America sneezes and the rest of the world catches a cold. Ie why how a there has repurcussions everywhere- from policy, trade, human rights and much more. Sad to hear you don’t understand how the world works.

purplebunny2012 · 05/11/2020 18:12

YABU. Nevada needs to finish their count first. If they call Biden, he'll have won. But Wisconsin count is being contested

winniestone37 · 05/11/2020 18:12

@LioneIRichTea I hit send too quickly 😅 I meant to say what happens there has repercussions everywhere

AtlantaGinandTonic · 05/11/2020 18:16

For any Americans on here who voted absentee, and especially in states with a small percentage difference between the two, please track your ballot and make sure it was accepted. Some states have deadlines for getting this sorted. Apparently you can do a web search for your state along with tracking your ballot to find the correct website.

Tfoot75 · 05/11/2020 18:17

Lol the world's most powerful country has an insane criminal as its president (Well hopefully not anymore), as if it affects no-one except Americans! To be fair it's more ideological than anything, but still!

ydimbleby · 05/11/2020 18:18

For what it's worth...I think Trump knew he was on borrowed time and always intended to refer the election result to the SCOTUS. That's why he was in such a rush to have his nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, confirmed and sworn in, despite it being Ruth Bader Ginsburg's express wish that, should she die before the election, her successor would not be appointed before the election.
The cynic in me sees that the rush was to help stack any decision by SCOTUS in his favour by having another "friendly" vote on the Supreme bench.

purplebunny2012 · 05/11/2020 18:18

"Calling victory before the votes are in is wrong regardless of which side is doing it."

Hmm, wonder what kind of person would even think of doing that Wink

Here’s the link for Georgia voters:

Complete disrespect

@Kljnmw3459

Nobody's won yet. And in a fatalistic view there are no winners......... but in reality most of the remaining states are way too close to call either way. Where are you people getting your news from? I don't see this going any other way than 4 extra trump years.
Where are you getting yours from? Biden only needs to win Nevada
MachineBee · 05/11/2020 18:31

BBC has just said Nevada May nit have finished counting until 12 Nov! So it might still be a long time until we get the result. Although even they are saying it’s looking likely to be Biden.

MtnGal2025 · 05/11/2020 18:31

Why do you ppl care?
I know Trump would be certifiable anywhere else and everyone loves to hate him. I'm not terribly fond of him either.
If Biden wins, as seems likely, does this mean all the hate you send across the pond will stop? You ppl seem to equate who currently occupies the WH with individual Americans.
I haven't noticed many Americans giving a shit who wins your elections.

notevenat20 · 05/11/2020 18:32

Looking very good for Biden right now. It looks like it will all come down to the court cases Trump has started.

MtnGal2025 · 05/11/2020 18:33

@Kljnmw3459 is correct. Lesser of two evils being elected this time.

MadameMinimes · 05/11/2020 18:33

He hasn’t won Arizona yet. Many news outlets called it for him yesterday but his lead has narrowed a lot and they are still counting votes there. It’s not won until the count is finished. Biden has to win another 17 ECVs to win. Nevada is only worth 6. Nevada and Arizona would be enough... or just Pennsylvania would do.

MadameMinimes · 05/11/2020 18:35

I also think this is going Biden’s way btw. I don’t think Trump had any hope of holding his lead in Pennsylvania and think he’ll lose by at least 100,000 votes there.

Ddot · 05/11/2020 18:35

Postal votes are a fix, even in this country are used by people who shouldn't get them. Bought, stolen, threatened and used by family members. Postal vote should only be for people who are house bound. Having said that trump lost the plot. Biden a puppet
