@Kljnmw3459

I'm starting to come round to Trumpian thinking: just stop counting now lol
I know you're joking, but it's important to count every vote.

My DD's boyfriend's vote is a postal absentee ballot in Pennsylvania. It's absolutely vital that it's counted, no matter how long it takes. It could be one of the votes that stops Trump from retaining power.

HoldMyLobster · 05/11/2020 17:16

@AngelicInnocent

Can one of you knowledgable types tell me what to make of the suggestions that if Biden wins he will only serve for a few months before stepping down for health reasons, making way for Kamala Harris.

How likely is this and what effect will it have?

It's just total bullshit.

Have you read the report his doctor produced about his physical health?

RedToothBrush · 05/11/2020 17:22

Biden has definitely won.

Just a matter of time now.

Dongdingdong · 05/11/2020 17:23

Biden has definitely won.

And you know this how?

prh47bridge · 05/11/2020 17:24

@WitchesSpelleas

Vote counting halted in Philadelphia while Democrats try to reverse court ruling that Republicans can go in and watch (Sky)
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has now overruled the Commonwealth Court and counting has resumed.
Kljnmw3459 · 05/11/2020 17:25

@RedToothBrush nobody's won yet, still way too close to call either way.

Confusedknitter · 05/11/2020 17:31

Have Navada started counting again? They seem not to have changed for ages and ages.

Do you think we will get any more results tonight?

RedToothBrush · 05/11/2020 17:41

We are tracking the numbers. They are good enough to go Biden's way.

WitchesSpelleas · 05/11/2020 17:41

Nevada numbers are moving again on the AP tracker - showing 1% lead for Biden - about 12,000 votes - so very narrow.

AlternativePerspective · 05/11/2020 17:42

The Trump administration have put out a statement saying:

“Trump is alive and well...”

Confused Confused has something happened to him?

The last time he was seen in public was election night and I have to say when he spoke he didn’t sound at all well...

MadameMinimes · 05/11/2020 17:43

Has anyone else noticed that Texas still have 15% of their ballots showing as uncounted on the sites I’ve looked at. That was called as a trump win but I wonder if the final tally there could shift in Biden’s direction. I don’t think anyone would expect that to give Biden Texas but the pollsters might not have been so wrong about it turning purple.

CoRhona · 05/11/2020 17:45

@AlternativePerspective they mean he's alive and well (and in with a chance) in the election.

But I am praying he is not.

roxanne119 · 05/11/2020 17:46

It’s not over til the larger lady sings 🤭🙈

Oscarsdaddy · 05/11/2020 17:47

I absolutely detest Trump with every bone in my body, he’s a complete arse and should never have been let anywhere near the White House

I really can’t see Biden being much better but absolutely no one could be worse than Trump

He has handled this election like a spoilt child and weeks before declaring that it would be a fraudulent election if he didn’t win and even before half the votes were in he made it clear he was not going to respect US citizen’s opinions

I just wish he’d crawl under a stone, vile little shit of a man !

LioneIRichTea · 05/11/2020 17:50
  • Trump won't go quietly though and a great many of his supporter are going to want to see America burn before they accept his loss. And he'll be egging them on.

It's not going to be pretty.*

Yep no doubt that’s what his ‘Proud Boys stand by’ comment means

Ineke · 05/11/2020 17:50

Trump is insane, he could get up to anything, so, I will believe it's over only when it is called.

cherish123 · 05/11/2020 17:51

@Oscarsdaddy I totally agree with everything you say. Trump is awful. I do feel the Democrats could have found a better candidate, though.

HateIsNotGood · 05/11/2020 17:54

If you watch CNN then they're pretty certain it's a Biden Win - based on that mostoutstanding ballots are mail in, mail in ballots are considered mostly Dem and most mail in ballots come from urban areas. Pretty much on a loop for the past 24hrs.

CNN could well be correct - shame we don't Fox on Sky anymore to get the other 'Math' to compare it with.

Jellykat · 05/11/2020 17:54

Radio 4 just said Trump is slightly ahead, shit..
Please please please let the uncounted votes be for Biden

MtnGal2025 · 05/11/2020 17:54

No, not yet.
Too many states have their own little rules.

AlternativePerspective · 05/11/2020 17:54

I’m not convinced. Why would his administration need to state that he is “alive and well,” why, if he is, isn’t he out there making statements about how unfair this is etc.

Staying underground like this isn’t in his nature.

Even when it was alleged he had COVID he was out there giving statements and photo opportunities, fist pumps for the fans etc.

Or maybe he’s now caught COVID and it’s taken him.....

Kljnmw3459 · 05/11/2020 17:56

So sky is saying that NC is only able to declare a winner 12th November.

Helen1990 · 05/11/2020 17:57

I dont see why it should bother the uk at all

WitchesSpelleas · 05/11/2020 17:59

The POTUS is arguably the most powerful leader in the world - of course it's reasonable for the UK to take an interest.

Even more so since Brexit when we will be looking for trade deals with the US.
