For not making the bed

I never make my bed and neither does hubby. Whoever gets out last just takes the cover off themselves, gets up and ready and on with the day. Are we tramps for doing this? Lol

Also does anyone else not make their bed?

I guess I figure no one comes into our bedroom and we are both too lazy to do it 😂

@Judystilldreamsofhorses your cat gets up? Mine only moves for meals.

Pull the covers down, open the window, have breakfast/shower......make bed.... straighten the sheets, duvet, plump pillows, I also turn my bed down while I have my bath in the evening and use a pillow spray......lovely!!!

We can't get on their bad side - could have consequences! Grin

Unmade beds make me twitchy and I do judge, but do what works for you. I air mine first but I make sure it's neat!

I make it once a week when I change the sheets and it’s gorgeous getting into a properly made up bed but I don’t bother the rest of the time because I pull the duvet right down to air it

@KatherineJaneway my sisters cat will only go on her bed if it's made, with a blanket on it as well. He meows at her until she does it lol

I love that, the meowing until it is done Grin

Get up, open windows in full and air the bed, get on with morning shores, breakfast, shower etc, and make bed last thing before leaving the house 🤷

Not sure it's worth personal attacks, but they are funny Grin

I am fighting to ensure my own kids make their bed every single morning , I don't like the look of unmade beds, make the whole room feel messy, plus they need to learn to tick tasks that need to be done.
I also don't like to go to bed in a messy bed. My house, my rules, so what.

I struggle to understand how much effort it takes, and I do like a clean and tidy house. My only pet hate is viewings with unmade beds, and worst estate agents photos of unmade beds. If sellers cannot be bothered to make a 20 seconds effort, I image the rest of the house is equally messy and filthy.

Even if you are a tenant, why would you want viewers to look at your intimate space, when you make the bed it's more neutral.

It is whatever you are happy with. I'm a military brat so I've always made my bed because it's how I start and end the day right. My DS does not.

anxiiousone · 05/11/2020 19:52

Tracey Emin did okay out of her unmade bed 😛 she was shortlisted for the Turner Prize. Just tell anyone who complains it's an art exhibit 😂
