Crap Flowers

Ordered some flowers for Dsis birthday from a popular online florist.

I was expecting beautiful roses and thistles in muted tones and instead got a petrol station special.

I emailed the company who’ve told me I got what I paid for. They clearly think I’m being unreasonable. I know I’m not, so over to you:

YABU: they’re beautiful substitutes and definitely look at least as glamorous as roses

YANBU: £50??!!! Bloody hell!

What you received bears little resemblance to their picture.

Is there small print saying other flowers may be substituted?

There no way those flowers are worth £50 and definitely nothing like the first picture. I would ask for my money back. Good luck💐

Yes you definitely got short changed there. What you received looked nothing like the picture. Are you sure the picture was an actual representation of what you were paying for?

YANBU!! The actual flowers bear no resemblance to the advertised flowers.

The only time you’d find those in an English Hedgerow is if someone threw them there in disgust.

That's awful and nothing like their picture. For what it's worth I usually use Bloom & Wild and on the rare occasion I've been unhappy they've refunded immediately and sent a replacement bouquet.

Disgraceful. Carnations?! I’d be furious.

How disappointing- definitely complain. It’s a good job your sister told you, I always worry about what the actual flowers are going to look like when they arrive because no one is going to say thanks for the flowers but frankly they look quite shit!

Supermarkets sell similar bouquets for £10-20

They are shocking. Can see their overall rating is 3 out of 5. So I would assume alot of other people are unhappy too

What was received was far inferior to the picture of what was advertised. CF of a business for thinking otherwise. I had a similar experience at my step mother’s funeral - flowers I ordered for her looked so tacky yet cost £££s and florist even rung up beforehand saying lilies weren’t in season - I told them I really didn’t mind what flowers were used, just had to look nice, substitute as you see fit. Clearly they didn’t understand and my £50 bunch looked like a £9.99 bunch from a petrol forecourt. I feel for you OP.

I used serenata for years until my darling grandmother gently told me to stop bothering sending flowers as they were always poor quality.

I used to go for the £19.99 specials so they must have been terrible if that is what you got for £50!!!

Nothing alike what you ordered and it looks like you have half the amount.

I honestly thought that this was a rogue partner and serenata would be appalled.

Instead they have responded that the “bouquet has been made to the correct quality and size as expected and is to value”.

They also suggest that I wait until the flowers bloom. It’ll be a bloody miracle if those carnations bloom into roses!

I don’t think they look look like petrol station flowers but they don’t resemble the picture and are not worth £50. They should match the picture in colour/quality even if there are substitutions, there is nothing ‘hedgerow’ about them either. I am not sure the way they have been arranged is helping though. They need mixing up a bit.

Received flowers through them once long time ago was amazed as they were a beautiful bunch thought giver must have spent a fortune but no so. Those are a big let down! Yadnbu
