Blanket freak

Is it weird to have a blanket/ throw folded on your sofa, so that you can snuggle up with it when on the sofa? My husband has just gone on about how he hates the blanket and nobody else has a blanket for this purpose. It's nice, matches the room etc. AIBU?

I have a blanket folded up behind the sofa.

Veryverycalmnow · 23/10/2020 18:26

Thanks so much. Just sent him some screenshots of your responses as he's sloped off upstairs. Grin

Everyone has one.

Scotsmaw · 23/10/2020 18:26

I currently have six in my living room, we have a leather sofa so in winter it is nice to have one underneath you as well as over you x

TheLastStarfighter · 23/10/2020 18:27

We have 4, but they are folded and put in a big blanket when not in use.

I think if them the same way as a dressing gown - I would feel uncomfortable visiting someone’s home and sitting amongst their blankets, but use them at home to get comfortable.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 23/10/2020 18:28

We all have one Grin Even Ddog

nancybotwinbloom · 23/10/2020 18:29

I have one heated one that's been given to the dog! Another heated one that's mine and it's put away of a day but no problem with having them out

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 23/10/2020 18:29

Bad photo, but I assure you she can't relax until she's tucked in.

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 23/10/2020 18:29

We have two shelves in the unit that hold nothing but blankets for everyone to snuggle under.
So much cheaper than heating (which we never use).

RubbishQueen · 23/10/2020 18:30

I have just brought a WFH blanket. It matches the bedroom decor as that is where I work. Grin We have multiple downstairs sofa blankets. Doesn't everyone?!

VanGoghsDog · 23/10/2020 18:30

I live on my own, two sofas, five blankets! I like a choice.

PinkAngelDelight · 23/10/2020 18:31

We have 2!

Entrant6 · 23/10/2020 18:32

Standard draped blanket on the sofa. Heated blanket stays in wait behind.

polkadotpixie · 23/10/2020 18:32

Your DH would hate me...not only do I have a sofa blanket, I also have a sofa duvet! It lives in the cupboard under the stairs during the day but I get it out every evening to snuggle under 😂

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/10/2020 18:32

We have loads. Our coffee tables are wire cages where they can be tidied away if necessary.

AriettyHomily · 23/10/2020 18:33

No.

H hates them, says we look like students.

Lampan · 23/10/2020 18:34

I have one. I can’t relax without one! I have a nice one I made that lives on the sofa, but often bring down a fleecy one to snuggle under instead 😄

Rainbowllama4 · 23/10/2020 18:35

I’m under mine now, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a throw or blanket on their sofa in the winter.

kowari · 23/10/2020 18:35

I have two. Our heating is set to 17 degrees, fine when you are moving around but I do need a blanket on the sofa.

TheDowagerDuchessofMwwwahaha · 23/10/2020 18:35

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t! No one of my generation (I’m 41) anyway - maybe older generation don’t.

AudHvamm · 23/10/2020 18:36

Woollen blankets on both sofas for autumn/winter and waffle cotton ones for spring/summer. I usually fold the blanket and put it along the top of the back cushions when not in use.

romany4 · 23/10/2020 18:36

I have a lovely purple fleecy one and DH has a grey one.

Your DH is WEIRD!

Legoandloldolls · 23/10/2020 18:37

I have a few. In fact theres nothing nicer than wrapping up in a blanket to watch a film.
