Blanket freak

Is it weird to have a blanket/ throw folded on your sofa, so that you can snuggle up with it when on the sofa? My husband has just gone on about how he hates the blanket and nobody else has a blanket for this purpose. It's nice, matches the room etc. AIBU?

2nd nod here, it is a nice quilt.

I've got a Dorma bedspread that I use as a superthin quilt in summer, it's about 1.5 to 2.5 tog, I think.

I'm going to get another one (smaller) for my chair, as the house is a bit draughty. Chap on the market has them at very low prices, I thnk they are old season stuff. Come in a load of colours, so I can match to what I need. Cosy and wash really well.

I mostly use mine to avoid putting the heating on. My kids think my house is 'cold', but having moved into a double glazed cottage from a single glazed (and unheatable) enormous house, this place feels snug and cosy and warm without putting the heating on, to me anyway. I live alone and fear huge electricity bills on my pathetic earnings, so a sofa blanket is my alternative to putting the radiator on. After all, it's only ME (and the dog) that need keeping warm, not the entire room!

I have a thick fleece blanket that I put over my legs instead of turning the heating up, and an electric foot warmer. Toasty! The blanket goes with the cushions on the sofa so all colour coordinated.

I could not be without my comfy blanket, it has sleeves (slanket). The sleeves should be a different colour though, as I end up having a big scuffle with it trying to find said sleeves.
