I’ve seen this house on Escape to the Country a couple of years back, wonder how long they have been trying to sell it?

Maybe it was sold then and the new owners want to move because there are too many ghosts 👻

Is that some kind of river or something opposite? That won't help with insurance either.

Is it the paintings? They're the only things that look a bit spooky. Absolutely fabulous house and a steal at that price! I bet it goes for a lot more.

Beautiful house but the creepy paintings and portraits (probably of the ghost residents) put me off 😆

I drove past this house in the summer when it was under offer and thought it was beautiful- however my mum who lives nearby and was in the car told me about the flooding, the angle of the house and how busy the road is. I still would buy it though if I had the money!

I wouldn't touch Grade 1 with a barge pole! And I say that as someone with a Master's in Building Conservation but it's a gorgeous property and I hope someone loves it.

I think it looks beautiful, and dont pick up any weird vibes from it at all

Bloody hell, that’s cheap for the area. I guess they will sell it for much much more.

Not remotely spooky and wayyyy too cheap. Although that is an auction ‘guide price’ and so the house will probably go for much more, this is just to tempt people.

That's so the ghost can sit down for a chat. If you'd been on your feet for 400 years, you'd appreciate it.

Why do people always think that ancient houses = ghosts? People can and do die anywhere at anytime ...often in houses. Why can’t a ghost be ‘modern’ like a rapper or something? Sorry I just think this is rubbish.

Not haunted OP, they will take the chairs and paintings with them, and you can just paint the wall you don’t like. Sorted.

Anyway, @Wellsbells yes it is very clearly lousy with ghosts. Most likely those of the portrait people.
