Someone who actually believes in God.

I'm all for respecting traditions, I actually really appreciate the comfort it brings, especially in times of mourning. And I was raised in the religion, albeit not devoutly.

But I once fancied the pants off this man until he told me he totally believes in God. No joke.. I never realized until that moment that it is a huge turn off for me!

Not trying to offend anyone, just my personal view.

ProudAuntie76 · 08/10/2020 14:51

Not aimed at the poster above at all, but I just couldn’t be in a romantic relationship with someone who was a militant atheist and I’ve found it difficult to be friends with people who constantly say horrible things about anyone who has a faith and seem to use any excuse to religion bash and go on about “sky fairies”, “spaghetti monsters” “all organised religion should be illegal” etc. Me and DH are both devout and regular worshippers but prior to DH my ex was an atheist but very respectful and tolerant of all faiths or none. So I’m not against people who don’t have a faith at all, it’s just the ones who are very militant about their atheism and openly prejudiced towards anyone who has a faith that I struggle being around and know I couldn’t love romantically as I find intolerance and disrespect really upsetting. I feel similar about anyone who is bigoted in any way (racist, homophobic, misogynistic etc), I just struggle around prejudiced people in general.

Those weird three-quarter length combat trousers you sometimes see men in. Like too long shorts. And too short trousers. Also don’t like sloping shoulders, taking themselves too seriously and my biggest turn-off..... men in dressing gowns. Shock
