And what do you do?

Is it even possible in today's climate?

I can imagine 000's of us are trying to do the same thing, however, perhaps there's something I haven't thought of... :)

I work for NHS prescription services. All those of us who process prescriptions have been WFH since March and I don't think we'll be office based ever again.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 01/10/2020 18:35

Finance for a small company. I'm now 100% remote working.

Peace43 · 01/10/2020 18:35

Yes and have done for 10 years. I’m a senior project manager and line manager in medicines licensing. I have a scientific degree and 20 years experience as a development chemist and regulatory expert. I’m one of many in my area who work full time from home. It’s not available normally at entry level in my speciality although it might well be more common post Covid!

HEYAhhhhhhhhh · 01/10/2020 18:36

Yes hubby is a senior Web developer.

dun1urkin · 01/10/2020 18:37

I’ve been WFH full time since March and am also not seeing myself ever going back.
NHS back office, specialist senior-ish role. I miss my workmates but MS Teams has replaced all the many, many, many meetings fine

niceupthedance · 01/10/2020 18:38

Yes I'm a wellbeing worker for the nhs and now all our appointments are on the phone.

DP is a website tester

Cariocbirello · 01/10/2020 19:18

Yes - PA in the NHS. Will be WFH for a long time / may be forever. Any available Covid secure sites are needed for staff that cannot WFH & capacity is reduced due to the need for social distancing / some sites now being designated as for Covid care only.

ICannotBeArsed · 01/10/2020 19:20

How can you get into working from home? Is it possible when changing jobs? I’ve been a dental nurse for years but I now want to work from home part time but I really don’t know where to start or if it’s even possible for me.

Budbudbud · 01/10/2020 19:21

I do payroll, 100% from home now, they shut our office after lockdown as sickness rates dropped massively and they could save money on rent and stuff

WiseUpJanetWeiss · 01/10/2020 19:22

Same here, exactly.
Pyjamaface · 01/10/2020 19:23

Velvian · 01/10/2020 19:27

Yes, since March. I work in finance for adult social services. I'm able to do 100% of my job from home.

NastyBlouse · 01/10/2020 19:28

Yep, I’ve worked from home for years. I’m a ghostwriter.

The3Ls · 01/10/2020 19:28

Speech therapist NHS nearly full time at moment. Video therapy with home visits for face to face as needed (1-2 days a week) but prep and write up after those all at home too. Not something I ever thought possible before march.

All many many many meetings on WebEx -best reform ever!

thebabewiththepower · 01/10/2020 19:28

I could work full time from home, I do legal work in house for a specialist sector but I have gone back to the office as I miss people too much. Zoom and teams don’t cut it for me. We are social distancing at work and I have my own office. I hate working from home full time and I like the routine of leaving for work and coming home (I live close to the office).

Toughtips · 01/10/2020 19:37

Full time in a customer service role. I'll be surprised if we are ever in the office again.

yellow055 · 01/10/2020 19:54

Yes for the last 6 months , most likely long term now . Nurse advisor for a pharma company never thought I'd be a nurse working from home.

yellow055 · 01/10/2020 19:55

Forgot to say it's not all that! I'm actually trying to get a job back in the field face fo face.

Xenia · 01/10/2020 19:56

Yes, lawyer, full time, from home since 1994.

Brakebackcyclebot · 01/10/2020 19:57

I work full time from home. I run my own business. I'm a Break-up & Divorce Coach.

EBearhug · 01/10/2020 19:59

Jayaywhynot · 01/10/2020 19:59

Work for a rail company, working from home, don't expect to be back in the office until April

Oysterbabe · 01/10/2020 19:59

I'm a lawyer. Full time WFH since March and continuing for the foreseeable future. DH is too, he's a graphic designer.

CandyLeBonBon · 01/10/2020 19:59

I've worked remotely for years too. Freelance photographer so when I'm not on a shoot I work from home

CheshireDing · 01/10/2020 19:59
