Unfortunately i went to a private school where anything vocational was heavily discouraged so I never even thought it was a real possibility

An Archaeologist no real idea why

An air hostess but my doting mother told me I wasn't pretty enough! Not sure I've ever really forgiven her!

A,marine biologist, my mum out me off by telling me I'd have touch worms.

My dd wanted to be a marine biologist until she touched a star fish shuddered and said nope not for me

But then it was police from about 16 up

Never happened though i was a special constable for a whole year

Omg you are literally the only other person I've seen say that in one of these threads Its what I wanted to be, never happened sadly I'm still a mad WWE fan with a room housing my collection of memorabilia from the 70's - today.

I can top that...I've just started my second year at 45!

Commercial pilot.

I got my PPL and I loved flying, but it became clear that for various reasons I was never going to get a CAA Class 1 medical certificate, so that was the end of that, sadly.

I wanted to be the “woman who sweeps up the hair” at the hairdresser. Purely based on the fact that when I went with my mum they gave me a brush to keep me occupied and I was paid in chocolate biscuits and Cremola Foam

I wanted to be a smoker like my aunt!

A meteorologist. Later discovered I was more of an arts than a science brain, but I'm still a bit of a weather geek.

My childhood aspiration was to be a Miss Honey like English teacher that all the children love. I've worked as a secondary science teacher for the best part of a decade and starting to think Ms Trunchball wasn't all bad...

Desperately wanted to be an artist or a singer/ musician. But had to chose a course that would guarantee a job. Hence teaching. Still gutted!
