SAS storming the Iranian embassy (I was 4 at the time)
Actually now that you mention it, I remember that too, so that's a bit earlier than what I had initially said.

I am almost certain that they showed the storming of the embassy live on TV. There was snooker on that day...I think.

BrowncoatWaffles · 23/09/2020 22:02

Sounds random but the death of Tommy Cooper. I was 8 or so and watching Live at the London Palladium on Sunday night TV when he keeled over. The next I remember seeking out the morning paper when it was delivered and reading the front page to find out what happened.

Knittedfairies · 23/09/2020 22:02

The assassination of JFK.

ArranBound · 23/09/2020 22:03
