DH has been eating crisps he doesn’t want for years

Ok not really an Aibu - but Dh just came home with a meal deal for us each - so two sandwiches drinks etc, and one packet of salt and vinegar and one cheese and onion.

I don’t like c&o (which he knows) and Dh just leaves his crisps. I said “oh are you not eating the ... he said no I don’t fancy that flavour...

It turns out that he always buys both for me as he still gets confused the by the green/blue packet thing! He’s being doing it for years and I’ve never noticed.

So Aibu to ask - is it really that hard to tell the difference between the two - even though walkers does muddy the waters!

As an aside hula hoops are green for cheese and onion, and blue for salt and vinegar. Definitely the way round I expect!

Oh god it’s also dawned on me that, fairly often when I buy a multipack I buy him the cheese and onion ones as I thought they were his favourites.

Here in Ireland our main crisp brands have cheese and onion in a red packet, just to confuse things even further.

The best are smoky bacon though!

@Cherrycee am rather partial to smoky bacon myself - though have occasionally been caught out and realised I’ve in fact picked up prawn cocktail by mistake!

Fun fact - all main brand crisps have expiry dates on a Saturday!

But Golden Wonder crisps had the colours the opposite way around. That's why lots of people correctly remember the packets that way - they were buying a non-Walkers brand.

Golden Wonder blue crisps used to be salt and vinegar ad their green crisps were cheese and onion. They used to sell them at our corner shop. I am talking early 1980s.

I'm in Ireland and red is cheese and onion on our most popular brands.
Blue is salt and vinegar.
Green is often sour cream and onion!
