Generally speaking I hate conspiracy theories, but is there anything out there that’s passed off as a conspiracy theory that you think holds some weight? I personally have some questions about the assassination of JFK.

Princess Diana’s death. Me too; I think 'the establishment' (not the Royals) had something to do with it'

Pobblebonk · 29/08/2020 18:55

How, @sueelleker? If they really wanted her dead, why on earth would they have chosen such an unreliable way to kill her in a country where they had no control over the authorities?

Pobblebonk · 29/08/2020 19:00

I do agree that al-Megrahi was clearly not responsible for the Lockerbie bombing.

JanMeyer · 29/08/2020 19:51

I’ve said it before but I don’t believe Peaches Geldof overdosed. I don’t think she’d do it with her child in the house and the day after(?) her house was burgled and nothing came of it... I think she was investigating, however loosely, the same lines that Jill Dando (another conspiracy) was following and her death was staged.

Oh please, what the fuck would Peaches Geldof be "investigating?" Who would take her seriously as a threat in that regard? Why don't you think she'd do drugs with a child in the house? She was a drug addict, they're not exactly known for their sensible decision making.

chergar · 29/08/2020 20:02

David Kelly and Willie McRae we're both murdered, they did not take their own lives.

Jill Dando had uncovered the BBC child sex ring which also has/had links to Epstein/Prince Andrew and Yugoslavia, she took this to bosses at BBC but it was ignored and she became a liability and had to go

I also believe there is some truth in what Corey Feldman is saying about Hollywood and the child stars.

and your evidence for this is what exactly?

paintedsmile77 · 29/08/2020 20:15

Well to be fair, none of us have any "evidence" of anything. it's about what we believe isn't it.

Mimishimi · 29/08/2020 20:34

PhilSwag: If it was there is excellent cause for it.

Yes, that made me chuckle too. I find it slightly easier to believe that a former drug user had a relapse, than that she'd become some sort of Veronica Guerin.

In a thread of stupid idiots this is possibly the most moronic thing posted. You are prepared to accuse people of mass murder based upon a 'belief'? Wow
Jay670 · 29/08/2020 20:47

The Sunday Sport usually uncovers it if it is a conspiracy. Wasn’t Elvis found on the moon?

im5050 · 29/08/2020 20:52

Jill Dando - in the light of Jimmy Saville and the other high profile child abusers .I think she was investigating something about this and it got to the wrong people who decided she needed to go.
She was a very credible & likeable person at the top of her career and people - the general public would have believed her story . They couldn’t make out she was crazy or stupid person as she wasn’t .
She was also a proper journalist to start with not a celebrity puff type one .So she probably knew how to research stuff properly

Epstein def murdered

Dr David Kelly murdered

I read a book (complete fiction ) but the story was the M16 or was it 5 had a mole in the IRA very high up and powerful and that lots of things were “allowed “ in order to protect the mole
The plan was that the mole would eventually become a politician and be able to influence and guide things exactly how they wanted things to go .

Muser314 · 29/08/2020 21:01

I agree that prince harry looks very like prince charles. His ears aren't as big, but they look identical in some photos and I think those who want to believe that hewitt could be his father are closing their eyes to a really strong family resemblance between charles and harry.

hewitt was a sleaze but he is a much better looking man than charles. not that that is relevant but it's true.

goose1964 · 29/08/2020 21:01

I don't believe that Alexander Boris De Pfeffel Johnson had covid, or that he went camping.

The80sweregreat · 29/08/2020 21:05

I do believe that Boris had covid and was in hospital but I can understand why people might think he didn't.
He didn't stay in that dodgy tent but they probably did stay in the attached cottage!

boltzmannbrains · 29/08/2020 21:05

I believe Boris Johnson was much more seriously ill with COVID than the government admitted to, and that they lied to downplay how ill he was.

They claimed he was being admitting for routine tests but it was late on a Sunday night, and claimed him being moved into intensive care was just a precaution and that he was sitting up and doing well. The entire way through his illness they acted like he wasn’t that sick and downplayed his illness, but you don’t get put in ICU unless you are really unwell.

It’s not a huge conspiracy theory and it’s hardly news that the government lies, but that’s my interpretation of the evidence.

boltzmannbrains · 29/08/2020 21:06

I do believe that he lied about camping in that stupid tent.

SomewhereEast · 29/08/2020 21:08

Re the conspiracy theories around Boris - I highly doubt a No 10 team who couldn't hide Dominic Cumming's trip to Specsavers could fake a baby or a camping trip.

chergar · 29/08/2020 21:46

With the Jill Dando thing as well she was friendly with Sophie Rhys-Jones and her fiancé was part of the queen's medical team. I remember hearing years ago that she confided in her fiancé about all the things she found out and he passed that to "higher ups" in the RF

SheWranglesRugRats · 29/08/2020 21:53

Loads of people knew about Savile though. It was hardly a state secret. Why weren’t the rest of them killed?

JanMeyer · 29/08/2020 22:05

The entire way through his illness they acted like he wasn’t that sick and downplayed his illness, but you don’t get put in ICU unless you are really unwell.

Well you might do when you're the prime minister. Then again how do we really know he was in the ICU? It's impossible to know what's true with this lot. Then again, having seen how wrecked he looked during that speech the other day, i could buy that he was sicker than they made out. Equally i find the theory he didn't have Covid at all and was being treated for something else very believable.

boltzmannbrains · 29/08/2020 22:10

It simply isn’t possible to create such an elaborate hoax - literally dozens of hospital staff and administrators including ordinary nurses would have to be in on it.

Plus it just doesn’t make sense that a government who were clearly working overtime to pretend he was doing okay and not that sick, would fake the very illness they were downplaying to begin with - their obvious attempts at downplaying it damaged the government’s credibility, and his illness and absence at such a critical time placed the government and this country in a precarious position. That’s an extreme amount of risk to take, to justify creating a vast and elaborate conspiracy that didn’t benefit anyone.

The theory that he faked being ill doesn’t stand up to an atom of plain common sense.

Roussette · 29/08/2020 22:12

Jill Dando's fiance Alan Farthing delivered all of Kate and William's children.
