No Kitsandbits you are a little bit wrong, this title is highly provocative to women who dont regard themselves "a little bit gay". So it is only to be expected. Again we see a case of "if you dont agree then dont post" which really is not fair. It is a public forum.

But some posts got personal and called peoples relationships into question and were, in my view, homophobic.

LEM, after all, (even tho it was supposed to be a light-hearted thread), I still posted it on the AIBU board.. so people could disagree!

i posted two threads the same, one on AIBU and one on Feeling depressed, the resposes were polarised!! supportive on FD and a little less on AIBU - its funny how that happens. I always think posting here is opening a can - thats why i like it

thanks for the support! i felt pretty crappy last night and it did make me wonder if mumsnet was really for me. some might say i overreacted but i just figured that i clearly didnt understand the ethos of the place and so i was better off not sticking around. i figured it to be fun and a supportive environment - my faith it that is now mostly restored!

getting all serious for a minute, the thing with my DH probably isnt as bad as i made it seem, but i suspect our relationship is different from many people here (arranged marriage). i think thats a conversation for another time though - this one is meant to be a laugh, right? its not like i am chasing women around every night trying to plug a hole or anything. its an occasional thing and i get a kick out of in a way that my upbringing didnt have space for.

in fact, its not happened for months. sighhhhhhhh.

Sorry if I upset you, Ashadashar I did not look in your profile before posting, arranged marriage did not enter my mind. Most Indians I know are happy in their arranged marriages and cannot believe that us westeners have the sad task of finding a lifepartner ourselves. A view that has astounded me.

thanks for the rather more kind words! i fear you have rather overestimated the extent to which my arranged marriage has any great significance here though. the cultural thing probably plays a big part in whats going on though - like i said i had a VERY sheltered upbringing and i am, in my mid 20's, finally trying to do something to put that right. i want to be a great mum and i feel my life experience is sorely lacking. i didnt spend my teen years chasing or being chased and how much chasing can i expect DH to do now we are married? not much i guess! i cant countenance letting a guy chat me up, much less kiss me. so im stuck between the rock and the hard place!
