For me it's lorries in the middle lane on motorways, driving parallel to another. Yes I know they have deadlines, but miles and miles side by side? 😡

Ah the good old elephant race. Bugs me too.

In a similar vein, people who dawdle along for no reason. Got stuck behind someone doing half the limit through town recently and by the time they turned off, there was a queue of about twenty cars behind them. 15mph is not an acceptable speed on 30mph roads in good conditions.

BruceAndNosh · 24/08/2020 17:26

Tailgating when there is nowhere else for me to go. You're not going to get there any quicker sitting in my boot

madcatladyforever · 24/08/2020 17:27

Here in Somerset not one single person indicates round a roundabout ever. Its a nightmare in rush hour because I have no idea where anyone is going.

SayakaMurata · 24/08/2020 17:27

Tailgating me when I'm driving at the speed limit. You being aggressive is not going to make me break the law.

Governoress86 · 24/08/2020 17:28

Cyclists!

greenforme · 24/08/2020 17:29

I'm with you on cyclists. IMO anyone using the roads should pay road tax and be insured. I include horses in that too

This is mine, too.
Optimist1 · 24/08/2020 17:32

Not acknowledging my kindness in letting them out from side roads.

AgeLikeWine · 24/08/2020 17:36

Poor lane discipline on motorways & dual carriageways. ‘Keep left unless overtaking’ should be drummed into drivers in the same way as ‘mirror, signal, manoeuvre’, but it isn’t so people haven’t got a clue which is why we have the middle lane hog brigade.

ConstantlySeekingHappiness · 24/08/2020 17:37

People who dawdle along at 30mph on a slip road to join a 70mph motorway.

I seem to get stuck behind people like this often, I don’t think people realise how dangerous it is to join a motorway at such low speed.

And of course tailgating.

Pugdoglife · 24/08/2020 17:39

Those people who drive at 40mph in roads with a 60mph limit (in good conditions) and then continue to drive at 40mph when they reach a 30mph road.

RevolutionRadio · 24/08/2020 17:39

Tailgating, absolutely hate it.

Please please tell me this is only in crawling traffic. As well as lane discipline, people stopping on a main road to let someone out a junction when the traffic is flowing, is one of my pet hates. Followed a VW Transporter the other day who seemed to let virtually everyone out for no reason. Was stop/start all the way down this very long main road
growinggreyer · 24/08/2020 17:41

My driving instructor used to say, "tuck in on the left" all the time. I still say it to myself as I overtake and move back in. It feels so cosy!

JuniLoolaPalooza · 24/08/2020 17:42

Tailgating.
People who don't give way when the obstacle is on their side and plough through. I always pause as I know they'll do it but it gets my goat.
People who don't understand the miniroundabout at the end of my road and cross it when I have right of way
Speeding at 40mph in a 20 zone next to a playground. Absolute idiots.

Poulter · 24/08/2020 17:43

Tailgating. People who don't indicate when pulling out, turning at a junction or overtaking. How lazy can you be not to be bothered to do this.

DidSheReallySayThat20 · 24/08/2020 17:44

People crawling along on a nsl road.
Supermarket is down a nsl road. 60mph limit.
I swear I always get caught behind a 25/30mph driver. Last week in fact there was one. The road goes from 50 to 60 to 30... His speed went 25ish..to 20.

I know the limit is a limit not a target but it was really frustrating.

Quite a lot of cyclists and horse riders are also drivers, so many of them actually do pay road tax.
IwantToDatePicard · 24/08/2020 17:45

Drivers hogging the middle lane, just pull over to the left ffs.

Pellewsmate · 24/08/2020 17:45

People who can't reverse. Why insist on living in the countryside if narrow lanes are beyond your capabilities? You should be as confident going backwards as forwards.

greenforme · 24/08/2020 17:46

I should have been more specific. Nothing should be used on roads unless they are insured third party and taxed

OP posts:
finished31 · 24/08/2020 17:47

Speeding.....if it says 2️⃣0️⃣ then do 2️⃣0️⃣ and nothing more!!

Flatpackback · 24/08/2020 17:47

Nothing has had me raging so much recently as the twat dawdling along in the middle lane of the M4 near Bristol recently, seriously doing 40, on her bloody phone.

Lots of motorists don’t pay VED.

How would you work out the VED rather of someone who isn’t polluting during their journey.

SimonJT · 24/08/2020 17:49

We went to Diggerland today, had great fun, but oh my the tailgaters. At one point there was someone so close to me that their cars number plate/very front of their bonnet was visible through my rearview mirror.

Generally drivers who lack patience.
