To be angry at DH for hurting me?

blanche85 · 17/08/2020 21:26

My DH completely lost it a few days ago and smashed my toddler's table to pieces (not in front of him) and dug his nails so hard in to my skin he drew blood and left a mark/bruise. He grabbed me and threw me out the front door so forcefully that I have a bruise on my thigh.

He then completely ignored what had happened, just carrying on as normal. I was/still am angry and upset and sent him a message when I was at working telling him that he had hurt and scared me and asked if he was sorry and he replied with 'Sorry that I lost it and you got hurt'.

Then, nothing else. He is pestering me for sex, which I don't want, and he also told me not to sit next to him this morning because I was 'giving off bad vibes'.

I just hate how nonchalant he is about the whole thing. Any advice? Thanks.

Eh? Leave him! Why are you with a man who has such rages?? Next time it could be you or your child instead of the chair!

Pollypocket89 · 17/08/2020 21:28

Yes. Leave him. WTF

FuckyNel · 17/08/2020 21:28

Well my advice is to report him to the police for assault and then leave with your child as soon as you can. It will get worse not better. 💐

Mamagiraffe · 17/08/2020 21:28

My first ltb. He sees nothing wrong, that won’t change.

DillyDilly · 17/08/2020 21:28

You need to be more than angry. You need to get this man out of your home or else take your child and get out ASAP.

SweetHummingbird · 17/08/2020 21:28

Honestly my advice is leave before it gets worse please.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/08/2020 21:29

Advice? Please seek medical help if you need it, report him to the police for assaulting you, make an immediate plan to leave him. He’s a violent abuser. You and your child need to get away from him before he hurts you again.

madcatladyforever · 17/08/2020 21:30

You need to call the police immediately and get him removed from the house, this is domestic and sexual abuse. I've been there, it ALWAYS escalates.

Alicenwonderland · 17/08/2020 21:30

Once they've been violent they'll do it again. Please leave. Also report it to the police. I know it's scary but you'll be glad you did later if you end up in a custody battle (speaking from experience) 💐

Krazynights34 · 17/08/2020 21:31

Jesus Christ! Police...or leave.
He could lose it again and hurt your child.
He is dangerous.
Very dangerous

ReceptacleForTheRespectable · 17/08/2020 21:31

He assulted you, intentionally, and isnt even remorseful. He's not a good man, and not someone that you want to stay with.

WiddlinDiddlin · 17/08/2020 21:31

Throw away the whole husband.

Really, LTB. No excuse for this at all, he is showing you who he really is, believe him.

Iggly · 17/08/2020 21:31

Er time to leave.

Sayitagainwhydontyou · 17/08/2020 21:32

Advice? Take photos of the table and your injuries, screenshot the texts, get all your paperwork out of the house, ringfence your money, contact a solicitor, start divorce proceedings and then call the police, tell them your husband assaulted you, and get him removed from the house.

LookAtTheCahhOlivahhhhh · 17/08/2020 21:33

Get out while you can, go with your son to the Police or call 0808 2000 247.

Tavannach · 17/08/2020 21:33

Do you have a safe place you can go to with your DC? Your parents or a friend's? Your DP's behaviour is unacceptable. You can then take time to work out what your next step should be.

Contact Refuge or Women's Aid for advice.

ABitOfADont · 17/08/2020 21:34

Next time it will be worse. Report him.

Poopoodidoo · 17/08/2020 21:35

YANBU. What lead to the violent outburst?

tillytown · 17/08/2020 21:36

Make copies of all important documents, report him to the Police, have him removed from the home.

GenevaL · 17/08/2020 21:38

The only way I’d consider continuing the relationship is if he moves out until he’s had professional therapy. Right now, he’s a serious risk to you.

Doilooklikeatourist · 17/08/2020 21:39

Leave him

duletty · 17/08/2020 21:39

He Is a fucking prick 😡

BlackeyedSusan · 17/08/2020 21:40

Darling, your brain is trying to protect you from the seriousness of this. If you are not up to reporting to police, try victim support or local refuge who can take photos for evidence possibly. ( Our does)

And leave. See your GP. Get it on record. It will only get worse. Be careful, leaving is the most dangerous time. Go before toddler can remember or before he gets hurt.

RightOnTheEdge · 17/08/2020 21:41

Report him to the police and get away from him as soon as possible.
You can't let your child live with this man.
Keep yourself safe OP.

LovingLola · 17/08/2020 21:43

Do you really have to ask what you should do?
Is your 11 year old dd aware of what has happened? What would you do if he assaulted her??
