Never known anyone to keep leftover takeaway for the next day until DP - always thought it was a one night treat. Think it's a bit odd - is it?

I prefer to order a couple of different curries & 'sides' and have it over 2/3 nights than just have one single curry.

Why would you just throw it away if there's any left over?

Always. There is far too much in a take-away portion. Even when I have one from the supermarket I have some left over. I have the leftovers for lunch the next day. It's always better after being left overnight anyway.

Do you just eat it all or throw it out? Everyone I know saves rhe left overs. And eats it for breakfast...

What else would you do with it?

I always buy two extra portions of Taarka Dhal and freeze them. I then use the extra dhal as a side with homemade curry. (My dhal is rubbish - think I buy the wrong lentils).

Haven’t had takeaway since covid began, but I used to buy enough for three nights when I did. A mix of curries and a large rice.

Highlight of an Indian takeaway is having the leftovers for lunch the next day.
Why on earth would it be weird? We save the leftovers of most things, if there are any.

We keep any leftovers for the next day. Does taste nicer and why waste it if you can't eat all of it in one sitting, which quite often we can't.

If you get yours from a restaurant frequented by South Asians then it’s likely that Curry would have been freshly made that day. Many restaurants start making the sauces at 3am every day.

Yabu! Curry is even nicer the next day!

We don’t do cheap takeaway- we get stuff from nice restaurants (usually Thai) and the fact that it’s more than enough for two meals justifies the price. We also reheat rice or noodle dishes in a hot pan and reheat things like spring rolls in the oven - no microwave. It’s always better reheated.

Surely you wouldn’t just bin the leftovers? That would be so wasteful!

What would you do with leftovers, bin them?! What a waste of food and money!

Also- top tip for reheating pizza: hot, dry frying pan (not nonstick, because you’ll ruin the coating at the temp you need) with a lid. When you can just start to smell the crust getting toasty it’s ready. Crispy crust, re-melted cheese, hot toppings. Better than when it was delivered usually. Only problem is that you can only do 2-3 slices at a time depending on size of your pan.
