To ask if you are OK with your daughter's subs being spent on this?

I've just come to update you on my case against Girlguiding, where they expelled me for raising safeguarding concerns and for asking why we had to believe in inner gender identity to be a leader.
Girlguiding have spent AT LEAST £35,000 and probably more like £100,000 of the subs you pay for your daughter to go to Rainbows, Brownies or Guides, on defending a case against me, a committed leader who wants to make sure girls are safe and leaders have freedom of expression.

Scouts are openly mixed sex & there are proper safeguarding measures in place.

Guides are doing it under the radar & saying that boys who identify as girls can share tents with girls. And parents don’t get told about it.

They are aligned but many more people believe in science than gender critical feminism. I guess there must be a legal reason but it's similar to Maya's case and I'm still unclear why the legal teams think gc feminism is a stronger argument than science. It seems to move it from facts (science) to belief (feminism).

Yes, comparing to scouts or school trips is silly. As PP stated the parents in those scenarios are fully aware of who is going on those trips - they might not be with GG.

Girl Guides now insist that any questioning of their transgender policy means you cannot be a leader. That policy allows self-identification, although they dont publicise this. So they are no longer what they were set up to be, an organisation for women.

I couldnt send a girl to guides and feel more people would feel like that if they knew about the thought policing.

Maybe head office haven't found out yet so be careful not to identify the person you're referring to.

Best way to get figures is to ask GG, but they may well be reluctant to say given that whole thing about not telling parents their daughter would be forced to share a tent with a boy.

It isn't to do with leaders, but the sex/gender of the children participating,

Leaders who have a gender identity of "woman" are allowed to join but leaders who don't, aren't. So basically that's all women who don't subscribe to "women should conform to gender stereotypes and I'm OK with that".

If you try to debate the issue, other leaders are encouraged to shop you. If you own up to not thinking everyone has an inner gender essence type aura, out you go. To many of us it's rather like insisting you believe in astrology or auras if you want to be a leader.

And, of course, it's a safeguarding issue.

@EmpressLangClegSpartacus - it is impossible. Hopefully the governments new ruling will make us less easy to change gender identity a d therefore it won’t be a safeguarding issue.

GG is a great organisation, which is poorly lead.

Well done OP for standing up for yourself. It’s time to stand up and say no to bullies who attempt to shame and harass you into certain beliefs. In truth it’s no different to a catholic inquisition of the late Middle Ages, repent or die.

I've seen plenty of people here say that they can absolutely 100% tell a trans woman from a non-trans woman. So what's the issue, if you can already tell if a young girl/helper for a trip is trans and therefore can pull your kid from the trip if you think all trans people and men are molesters?

Safeguarding is not an optional extra.

Anyone who IDs as women can be leaders. Where that leaves a woman who knows her sex is female but rejects the concept of gender, I’m not sure.

Best of luck OP! You are absolutely doing the right thing. Changes to safeguarding of children should always stand up to questioning. If they can’t they aren’t appropriate changes and shouldn’t be made.

GG can fuck right off if they expect to allow an adult man to supervise my teenage niece in the shower. What a shower of shite.

But we know there are men on the trips GG was making it a secret you weren't allowed to be told if a "fully functioning penis" would be sharing the same intimate spaces with your child my daughter was molested as a child (nothing to do with GG) but if she had gone on a "girls only" camp and found a penis owner was sharing she would have cut herself to shreds

Thanks for your concern, but it’s not really an issue - it’s known, they’re a great leader and all is fine :)

I think there’s an awful lot of panic over trans people being involved in GG. A lot of the comments here seem to insinuate that those identifying as female are actually all predators pretending to be women in order to gain access to children.

Aside from it being statistically unlikely (and no amount of whataboutery will make me think otherwise) people need to remember that you will not have just one leader on any event - child to adult ratios exist! And it’s even less likely that all leaders on an event will be trans... and nigh on impossible that they’re all donning wigs to spy on girls in tents.

And there will be safeguarding procedures in place to protect the safety, privacy and dignity of those girls (part of which will likely involve having a female adult present)

Well done Katie. I took my DC out of GG because of this issue. It was meant to be a female only organisation. Changing that would be one thing, but to do it on the basis of self ID alone and not even telling parents, nope.
