I've gained a bit of weight over lockdown. I'm normally very slim, but I am finding it difficult to know where I stand with my new weight as none friends of my friends are taller than 5 foot 6. I'm finding it difficult to read group chats of friends who have gained but are still weighing less than I was previously. I think I was too slim before but that has clouded my judgement of what is normal and I am worrying about my gain as I'm not used to seeing myself like this, so I'd like a bit of perspective and to see what feels healthy and good for other women.

If you are a lady 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 11 (or taller!), I'd love to know the weights you are comfortable at. I'm 5 foot 10 FYI.

I'm 5'7"

Really happy weight is 9 stone 4

Comfortable weight is 9 stone 11

Current weight is 10 stone 7 and for me feels uncomfortable

Background of ED and lowest weight 7 stone. Previous 'happy weight' was 8 stone 7 so this is all progress for me

Onceuponatimethen · 22/07/2020 23:49

I’m really happy with current weight - been on a fitness drive in lockdown and I weigh 74kg

YewHedge · 22/07/2020 23:50

12 stone. 5 ft 9.

YewHedge · 22/07/2020 23:51

I am happy with my weight. I look very sexy.

AnonUser2018 · 22/07/2020 23:52

I'm 5ft 7".

Really happy at 11 stone as then a 12-14
Happy at 11st 7lbs as a 14

Thanks to lockdown am niw 12st 4lbs and a size 16 and not happy.

Would love to be 10st 7lbs and a size 12 but 2 kids and approaching middle age and just gave up on that a long time ago....

Dixiechickonhols · 22/07/2020 23:53

I’m 5ft 8 and my ideal is 10 and a half stone. I seem to sit more around 10 10. Size 10/12. Bmi 22. I personally wouldn’t want to be lower as it wouldn’t suit my frame - big wrists, hands and size 8 feet.

FourEyesGood · 22/07/2020 23:53

I’m 5’10” and I think I’m just over 13 stone at the moment. I feel heavy and paunchy and I know that I looked better when I was just under 12 stone, about four years ago. But I was much more toned then too, so it wasn’t all about weight.

ShyTown · 22/07/2020 23:54

5ft7 (and a half). 9 stone is my usual weight and I’m happy with that.

FourEyesGood · 22/07/2020 23:55

Forgot to include that I’m size 14-16 (depending on shop) at the moment. I was a 12 four years ago.

Rollmopsrule · 22/07/2020 23:57

5ft 9 - happy around 10st 7 IBS. I'm 12st 7 Ibs ATM and between size 12-14. Getting ready to shift some timber!

GarlicMonkey · 22/07/2020 23:57

12st, 5'9", very happy & comfortable with it.

DramaAlpaca · 22/07/2020 23:58

I'm 5'10. My happy weight in my younger days was 10 stone 4. I'm in my 50s now and I'm comfortable at 11 stone. Sadly I'm a bit more than that post lockdown, but I'm working on it.

stopgap · 23/07/2020 00:08

5’7.5 and am at my heaviest ever, weighing 9 stone 2. I’ve been lifting heavy weights, so that’s part of it, but I’m just naturally filling out now that I’m 43.

I was 8 stone for years, and looking back at old photographs I appear way too thin.

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 23/07/2020 00:12

5’9 and I like myself best at 12-13st. I look a bit haggard any lighter than that because I have a large frame (broad shoulders/wide hips). Currently significantly over that, thanks to COVID!

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 23/07/2020 00:14

I also have whopping size 8 flippers so I won’t blow over in a strong gust! 😂

Commentutappelles · 23/07/2020 00:15

I'm 5'8. My ideal weight is 10 stone, I look best at that but my body prefers 11 1/2, which puts me at a size 12. My current weight is 13 1/2, size 16 - I'm flabby with a fat face and look awful, so aiming for 2 stone off asap.

Shmithecat2 · 23/07/2020 00:15

I'm 6'2 and about 13st7 and a size 14 at the mo Blush. I've put on a stone over lockdown and I feel like absolute shit. I knew it get back to 12st7/size 12 pronto, but I cannot get out of the funk I'm in at the mo Sad

DieSchottin93 · 23/07/2020 00:18

5'8" and currently 10st 10lbs. For me personally I'd like to be at about 10st or just under. I think the lightest I've ever been was 9st 4lbs and I do miss how slim and shapely my legs looked then 😭😭 but that weight just requires too much effort for me tbh. I can still fit into size 8-10 clothes at my current weight.

jokolo · 23/07/2020 00:18

I'm 5'10 and my best fighting weight is about 68 -70kg. Lowest I've ever been was I think 58kg and it was absolutely awful! I was skeletal and absolutely ill. But 70kg is good for me. I've got some decent muscle on me - not at all gamine!

Currently bouncing around a flabby 75kg and not happy about it. Lockdown has not been kind to my health either. I want to go swimming!

AnotherBiteMe · 23/07/2020 00:50

5'11 and I look and feel my best at 11.5 stone which is a size 12.

worstwitch18 · 23/07/2020 01:05

Around 70kg (11 stone) is my usual weight. I think I am best around 65-67kg (10 stone, 6lbs ish). But according to calculators my ideal weight is 63kg (so 10 stone).

5'7

Esthermoo01 · 23/07/2020 01:08

I'm 5'7" and happy and healthy at 11 stone (size 12) after 3 kids. Easier to buy flattering clothes when I'm about 10stone 11 but it's quite a lot of effort to maintain that weight for me and makes me miserable lol.

thenightsky · 23/07/2020 01:13

5ft 9in. Best at 9st 9lb to 10st. Currently 11st 7lb and clothes feel uncomfortable and ill fitting.
I was 8st 4lb at my lightest over one summer when I was suffering a grumbling appendix. Everyone told me looked fab weirdly.

BeardieWeirdie · 23/07/2020 01:16

5’7. A year ago pre-baby I was 57kg. I was 70kg at 9 months’ pregnant and now, breastfeeding a 3-month-old I’m 54kg.

SharkBrilliant · 23/07/2020 01:17

I’m 5’7 and my comfortable weight is 10st 4lb.

I have a big frame though, so anything less makes me look at bit gaunt. Still a size 14 due to wide hips. I remember being gutted as a teenager at 8st 7lbs and still fitting a size 14 on my bottom half because of it.... ah, the problems of teenagers 😂
