I've gained a bit of weight over lockdown. I'm normally very slim, but I am finding it difficult to know where I stand with my new weight as none friends of my friends are taller than 5 foot 6. I'm finding it difficult to read group chats of friends who have gained but are still weighing less than I was previously. I think I was too slim before but that has clouded my judgement of what is normal and I am worrying about my gain as I'm not used to seeing myself like this, so I'd like a bit of perspective and to see what feels healthy and good for other women.

If you are a lady 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 11 (or taller!), I'd love to know the weights you are comfortable at. I'm 5 foot 10 FYI.

5'11'', and I feel healthiest at 10.5 stone.

ZaraCarmichaelshighheels · 23/07/2020 02:24

5’9 happy weight 9st 7lb currently 10 stone and it’s bugging me a lot.

Hangingover · 23/07/2020 02:39

5'10 and a half! I'm hovering around 9st but sometimes dip as low as 8'7.

WWYD00 · 23/07/2020 02:49

I'm 5'8" and currently 12st12lbs size 16 thanks to baby and laziness. My ideal weight is 10st7-10lbs. I have three months to shift this before I return to work.

PoloNeckKnickers · 23/07/2020 05:35

I'm 5ft 7 and am happy at 10 stone something. Currently 10 st 2lb having lost 8 stone 5lb.

Scrumpyjacks · 23/07/2020 05:51

I'm 5ft 11 and 13st 3lbs however I am pregnant! My happy weight is 12st 5lbs ish but haven't been that in a while. I was getting there then fell pregnant. I'm happiest when excersising and the weight and tone follows from that really but that requires good mental health for me. It's a viscous circle.

I’m 5 ft 7 and just over 9 stone. I am happiest at 8 stone 10 - those 4 pounds really do make a difference to my stomach, especially as this is where I tend to hold my weight.

Aramox · 23/07/2020 06:06

5’9 and best at 9 stone 10 . Currently 10 stone 4 with lockdown over eating. All on my stomach, so still fit size 12.

coffeeaddiction · 23/07/2020 06:06

5ft 8 , just hit my weightloss goal of 10 st 5lbs and very happy at this weight

Mintjulia · 23/07/2020 06:06

I’m 5’8” and 57yo.

I’m happy, healthy & comfortable at 9st 10 in the summer and 10st 2 in the winter. Anywhere between is fine.

Lower and I get tired, higher and I feel uncomfortable.

NurseNancyandDoctorDavid · 23/07/2020 06:21

5'8" and 9st 12 currently, but happier at 9st 7, age 52.

BegYaParsnips · 23/07/2020 06:25

I’m 5ft 10 and 10 stone 5. I was happiest at 9st 9. But I only got there breastfeeding a very hungry baby/toddler on demand. As soon as I stopped, I gained and have been sat at this weight around a year now.

Panicmode1 · 23/07/2020 06:44

I'm 5ft 8 and have been a size 10 for years at 10 st, but lockdown and perimeno have led to me now weighing almost 11 st.

I'm working on it, but it's much harder to shift (I'm finding)

BullshitVivienne · 23/07/2020 06:50

Wow @PoloNeckKnickers well done on your astonishing weight loss!

alongtimeagoandfaraway · 23/07/2020 06:52

5ft 10 and 10st 10lb. Look best at 10 4 but happy enough as I am.

Ginfordinner · 23/07/2020 06:55

Thst's rather light for that height. I'm the same height and would look emaciated at 8st 10.
Onceuponatimethen · 23/07/2020 06:56

A lot of this must be very dependent on build. Also there’s a huge difference between 5 ft 7 and those who are tallest.

ChikiTIKI · 23/07/2020 06:57

I don't own scales so only get weighed in midwife booking in appointments. 60kg, although I don't know what that is in stones so it doesn't mean a lot to me. I am 5 ft 9.

Had a baby at start of lockdown and think I am about 67kg. Used my parents scales to weigh myself so we could do some maths to see how much the baby weighed.

RandomWordsandaNumber5 · 23/07/2020 07:02

I’m 5’10” and I currently weigh 11 stone 5. My happy weight is 11.2
I’ve missed the gym no end and will be going back on Saturday to get going again.
I usually think I’m a size 14 but I make most of my clothes so not too sure about that.
I’ve struggled with my weight in the past but am now very happy with where I am and how I look.

GlamGiraffe · 23/07/2020 07:03

I'm now 5ft7.5, was 5ft 9 until an accident left me shorter a few years ago. I have I really small frame though so I think it makes a huge difference (size 4 feet for example) . I'm very small. I'm happy at about 52kgs. I used to dance competitively and was very lean. I appreciate I'm not a good example. I come from a really slight family.

elfin79 · 23/07/2020 07:04

5’ 7” - happy weight is 9st 8. Currently 9st 11 which is fine and seems to be where my body decides to stabilise. Have been between 9st 10 and 12 for about 5 years with not a huge amount of effort.

@Ginfordinner it’s all to do with build, at my heaviest I was 11st 2, busting out of size 14s (and refusing to size up to 16s) and felt awful.

Gin4thewin · 23/07/2020 07:06

Im 5ft 10

I was 14st 13 at the end of April

Im now 12st 9, im aiming for 11st 13 but in going to go off how i look now and stop based on that i think. I dont want to be skinny, just comfortable.

I carry weight quite well and i am a big build so dont want to loose too much and look gaunt.

AngelOfTheSilence · 23/07/2020 07:07

5’10” and currently 9st7.
I usually stay around the 8st7 - 9st mark and struggle to gain but lockdown and possibly age means I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been when not pregnant.
I’m now a size 8-10 and feel happy with my body for the first time in years......I actually have a bum and hips. Might need to work on toning my stomach if I keep putting weight on though and want to avoid going above 10st.

PoloNeckKnickers · 23/07/2020 07:09

@BullshitVivienne

Wow *@PoloNeckKnickers* well done on your astonishing weight loss!
